Degree courses in Goa for the academic year 2024-25 will be based on the scores or ranks obtained in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). GCET, the Goa Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance exam. This exam offers admission in Architecture, Engineering, Medical, and many other professional allied courses. The GCET 2024 Exam has been discontinued, and instead, admission to engineering courses will be based on JEE Main 2024 scores. Previously, GCET was an annual state-level entrance exam administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The DTE provided admission to candidates in various fields such as Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture, Dentistry, etc. Successful candidates were granted admission to various government and private colleges/institutes in Goa. GCET 2024 Application Fee

The application fee for each course is set at Rs. 2000/-. In case of late submissions, an additional late fee of Rs. 1500/- will be applicable. GCET Application Form Submission for Late Applicants

Late applicants for GCET 2024 were granted the opportunity to submit their application forms even after the regular application process concluded. They were required to submit the GCET 2024 registration forms in person at the CAD section, Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim. A late fee of Rs. 1500/- was applicable in addition to the regular application fee, making the total fee Rs. 3500/-. This late fee had to be remitted to HDFC Bank, Porvorim. This provision allowed candidates to apply after the standard deadline, providing an extended opportunity for those who missed the initial application window.
