The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam is recognized in life Science/Social Science by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi which is also linked with the ‘Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research’ (PGIMER), Chandigarh. A national level entrance examination is started by the institutes. Which will be held at different examination centers. Centers such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bhubaneshwar, Srinagar Guwahati.

The 150 scholarships which will be awarded to the Candidates after they will qualify the JRF Scholarship Exam 2019. The candidates who are awarded by the scholarship will be eligible for the admission in the Medical College/ Hospital/ University/ National Laboratory/ Institution of Higher Learning and Research to pursue the PhD/ Research Program in the field of Biomedical Sciences with emphasis on Life Sciences such as Microbiology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Immunology, Pharmacology, Zoology, Botany, Environmental Sciences and Veterinary Sciences etc.

How is cutoff evaluated?

After the Successful Completion of ICMR JRF Exam, the Indian Council of Medical Research will release the ICMR JRF cutoff and the candidates those who will clear the cutoff marks in the Entrance Exam will be considered as the qualified candidate. The candidates scoring minimum ICMR JRF 2019 Cutoff Marks will certainly take admission in the Ph.D. course of associated UGC University.

The cutoff is evaluated by many factors such as Number of candidates appeared for the ICMR Exam, Number of candidates passed the exam, Difficulty level of question paper, Number of vacancy for this exam, cutoff can be sectional wise.
