MHT CET PharmacyThe Government of Maharashtra conducts Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. It is an annual entrance exam. It is a common entrance test organized for providing admissions in health science degree, engineering & technology, and pharmacy courses.

The MH CET Question paper will comprise three papers – Physics and Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, and Mathematics.  The candidate selection to engineering degree courses should appear for Paper I and Paper III and the candidate selection to Pharmacy degree course should appear for Paper-I & Paper-II and Paper-III.

Application Fees 2020

The Application fee will be Rs.800 with bank charges, for open candidates and Rs.600 with bank fees, for reserved candidates. The fee payment will be made through the challan of SBI Bank. Candidates are suggested to keep the printouts of the application form for further use.

The fee for the course should be paid at the respective college by Demand Draft from any Nationalized / Scheduled Commercial Bank for Dean/Principal of College, as applicable.

The candidate who has been admitted and wishes to cancel admission he/she should submit an application. The refund of fees to candidate admitted in the college shall be made after deduction as under

  • Before cutoff date as declared by the respective council – Rs.1500/- (RS. One Thousand Five Hundred Only) to be deducted and rest of the fees to be refunded.
  • On or after the cutoff date as declared by the respective council-No refund of fees.

The Dean/Principal of the college shall be responsible for making a refund of the fees, cancellation letter from the candidate. If the candidate expires or becomes invalid within 90 days from the date of admission, no deduction shall be made.

Cancellation

The selected candidate must join the college at which he/she is selected, on or before the date prescribed by the Competent Authority; failing which his/her admission stands canceled.

The selected candidate who has joined the college and wanted to cancel the admission should cancel it, at the respective college. The college should accept the cancellation and inform the Competent Authority along with a copy of the cancellation letter immediately.

Final Selection

  • The selection made by the Competent Authority as per this procedure is final and will be binding on the candidate.
  • Request for mutual transfer is not permissible. Such requests will not be entertained.

Service Bond & Penalty

As per Government Resolution (G.R. No. MED 1007/CR-490/07/Edu-2 dated 8th February 2008), candidates selected against the seats of Government/Municipal Corporation colleges for admission to MBBS / BDS courses will be required to sign a bond to serve the Government of Maharashtra or Local self-government or Defence services for a period of one year, failing which he/she will be required to pay Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lacs only) for the default.

Additionally, he/she will be necessary to sign an undertaking to the effect that he/ she will not leave India within a period of five years from the date of obtaining the degree.

PENALTY FOR LAPSE OF SEAT (MBBS/BDS COURSE)

As per Government Resolution dated 31/02/2016 any candidate responsible for the lapse of Government / Corporation MBBS/BDS seat at will have to pay a penalty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupee Ten Lacs Only).

This penalty applies to all those candidates who do not join during last round or cancel a seat after last round of admission, amounting to the lapse of seats. This penalty is also applicable to the candidate resigning a position after the cutoff date for MBBS/BDS course.

A candidate, who has been admitted to Government / Corporation College for MBBS/BDS seat, will have to give an undertaking that he/she will have to stay in India for five years after completion of the internship. Candidate not complying with this undertaking will have to pay Rupee 10 Lacs as a penalty.

There is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered. The candidate desirous of selection to Health Science courses and BVSc & AH should appear for Paper I & Paper II. The candidate desirous of selection to Engineering degree courses should appear for Paper I and Paper III and the candidate desirous of selection to Pharmacy degree course should appear for Paper-I & Paper-II and Paper-III.

Candidates will be provided with separate OMR answer sheets with each question paper. At the end of each paper, the candidate will hand over the OMR Answer sheet and Question booklet to the invigilator. Candidates are not permitted to take the Question Booklet outside the exam hall during or after the examination.

The candidate will be required to mark the correct answer by blackening the corresponding circle against the serial number of the question in the answer sheet with black ink ballpoint pen only. Out of four circles provided for selection of an answer to a question, the candidate should fill up one circle only. Each correct answer will be given mark/(s). There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Changing An Answer Is Not Allowed: The candidates must fully satisfy themselves about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle, as no change in the Answer once marked is allowed. The answer once marked is final, any change in the option once marked, done by any method, will amount to an invalid/incorrect response.
