MICAT Exam Pattern 2020, Paper Pattern, Marking Scheme – Check Here

MICAT 2019MICAT 2020 is conducted two times annually. MICAT 1 and MICAT 2 is conducted in the month of December whereas the MICAT 2 is organized in the month of February. The MICAT admission process includes the three steps- Main Entrance Exam, Group Discussion 1 and Personal Interview 2.

The will be chosen through GD and PI conducted two times a year. The students can get through any of the exams. The marks will be estimated for Group Exercise and Personal Exercise.

Before deciding on the admission process, you must check the eligibility criteria once and for all. The students will be getting admission on the basis of educational qualification i.e. graduation certificate. Those who are in the last year will also be considered at the time of admission. The score of the PG exam is obligatory. MICAT Exam pattern is showing variation every year so the MICAT 2020 Exam pattern also has some or other changes in the way the questions are structured. These include 25 questions in VA, QA, GA, and DCR. For the incorrect answer in the above sections, the marks will be removed by 0.25.

The MICAT Exam includes the two parts. One part will be comprised of General Awareness and Reasoning sections and the second part includes the Psychometric Test. The MICAT 2020 is the two-hour exam.

MICAT is structured to help students on analytical ability, divergent thinking, written communication skills, and general awareness about the communications industry. Each student participating in MICA by CAT or XAT OR GMAT apart from marks will be considered for MICAT. They must complete the application form and get it verified by MICA.

As per students’ skill in MICAT and CAT/XAT/GMAT, they are going to take part in Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

Part I: Reasoning

The topics which are given in this part are Visual Reasoning, Word Association, Data Sufficiency and Statement Conclusion. It has 35 questions with 5 answer options for every question.

General Awareness

The questions given in this section will be on advertising, general global awareness, general knowledge, marketing, and media. It comprises of 25 questions with 4 answer options for each question.

Part II: Writing Ability

In this section, students are provided the topic and you need to put down the topics supporting them. Coming to the interpretation, you will have to support or do the opposite of what has been given. Not going through the pace would mean to not be marked for the essay writing. The next question in this section is on the story writing. A per pictures illustrated in the question, you need to put pen to paper and write a story.

The paper 11 is consisting of Psychometric Test and you need to be done with this section in the span of 30 minutes.
