Sri Krishnadevaraya University was founded on 25th July 1981 & it was named after a patron of learning & the arts of the Vijayanagara empire of the 16th century. It is located in Anantapur in the state of Andhra Pradesh, it is a public university accredited by UGC.
The university has 5 colleges on campus i.e. College of Arts, Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Education and Pharmacy with 13 departments of Arts offering 18 PG courses & 16 departments of Science offering 19 PG courses. It also offers M.Tech. in 3 branches & B.Tech. in 5 branches & Pharmacy in 3 branches.
SKU has its campus of 482 acres of land which is 10km away from Ananthapuram city, the university has built extensive academic & administrative buildings, hostels, residential quarters & a library.

About Bachelor in Education
Bachelor in Education is a bachelor’s degree awarded for the UG course. Bachelor in Education is a 2year UG professional course. Candidates who complete their B.Ed will get teachers jobs in schools or colleges.
- The minimum eligibility is 10+2 OR any bachelor’s course
- Candidates can opt for M.Ed after completing a 2-year B.Ed course.
- There is 4 Semesters in the B.Ed course.
- It can be pursued as part-time & full-time both.
