UGC NET 2022 exam pattern will help the candidates to understand the complete pattern of the UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET is the national level entrance examination and it was newly organized by National Testing Agency (NTA).

It is organized to test the eligibility for Assistant Professor in both Indian Universities & colleges and Junior Research Fellowship for Indian nationals. It is also known as National Eligibility Test.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

The examination of UGC NET will be conducted through online mode in two sessions such as paper 1 and paper 2. Students should have to prefer the exam pattern for the better preparation of examination and the exam pattern has provided below.

  • Mode of Exam: It will conduct in Online (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • Session: The exam will take place in two sessions (Paper 1 & Paper 2).
  • The medium of Exam: The question booklet will be in both English & Hindi language.
  • Duration: The time duration for paper 1 will be 1 hour while for paper 2 it will be 2 hours.
  • Type of Questions: Objective-type questions will be asked in the exam. Candidates will have to select the correct response from the given options.
  • Number of Questions: Paper 1 will comprise 50 questions while paper 2 with 100 questions. All questions are compulsory.
  • Marking Scheme:2 marks will be awarded for each correct response for both papers 1 & 2.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the exam.
