West Bengal Madhyamik Routine 2024 will be Released Soon. West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), Kolkata. It was established in 1951 under an Act of the State Legislature called the WBBSE Act of 1950.

The Board was inaugurated by the Governor of WB, Dr. K.N.Katju, on 3^rd May 1951. To Conduct School Final Examination & to regulate control & develop the secondary education of the state earlier, was done by Calcutta University. The Board was subsequently renamed as West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1964.

The operational ambit of the Board has increased over the years; in 1951, the Board Started its journey with 1270 high schools taken over from Calcutta University, which increased to 2312 by the end of 1963 & more than 8000 by the end of 1975. Presently Board is handling 10238 numbers of schools.

Important Points to Remember:

The examination will be held in only one paper on each day.

• The first 15 min will be given to students for reading the question paper only.
• Dates of Physical Education & Social Services & Work Education will be announced later.

First Language:

• Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan,
• Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu & Santali

Second Language:

• English
• Bengali

Examination in shorthand & typewriting will be held at Kolkata & Siliguri only. The date & venue will be announced later. Examination in Sewing & Needlework will be 4 hours 15 min. The Theoretical portion, the venue & date will be announced later. The examination on Computer Application will be of 2 hours 45 min. Practical Examination on this subject will be taken by individual schools.

• The result will be declared after 2 months of the examination.
• Students need to have admit cards to check the result.
• Students can download & take a printout of the result.

How to Prepare for the Exam:

Students must know their syllabus clearly and in a systematic manner.

• Students can solve previous question papers.
• Students should plan their studies according to the subjects.
• Students should keep themselves fit, they should be healthy food & they can also do yoga to keep the mind fresh.
