WBJEE JECA 2021: Application Correction (Started), Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

WBJEE JECA 2021 Application Correction has been started on 26th May 2021. The Exam will be held on 28th August 2021. The full form for Joint Entrance for admission in Masters of Computer Applications. It is an entrance test conducted by West Bengal for admission in Masters of Computer Applications (MCA). The successful candidates will be able to get admission to Govt./Private foundations in West Bengal state.

The examination arranging body is WBJEEB which implies the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Private Engineering Colleges, Universities, Government colleges, and some of the institutions in West Bengal offer full-time MCA courses.

The admissions to MCA courses are governed by the reservation policy of the state government. Age is no bar for aspiring candidates. In 2021, the exam was conducted in June 2021.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Application Form

  • To start with, applicants have to register for the exam by filling up registration details, i.e., Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and Date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
  • Make sure that all the information entered in the application is correct as the same cannot be changed or modified later.
  • All the information entered must match exactly with the 10th regular school admit cards, mark sheets.
  • As per the information applicant also has to show the originals to enter the examination hall, during counseling, during admission and also during registration with the University

Uploading of images

  • In this, applicants have to upload the scanned documents like recent passport size photograph, Copy of signature, and the left thumb impression.
  • The dimension is as per below.

Payment of Examination Fees

  • After uploading images applicants will be automatically directed to the fee-payment step.
  • The examination fee of Rs. 500 needs to be paid in cashless mode by ‘Net Banking’/ ‘Debit Card’/ ‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan, which will be automatically generated for downloading once the same option is selected.
  • The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.

Confirmation Page

  • After successful payment of WBJEE JECA application fee applicants will be directed to the downloading and printing of the ‘Confirmation Page.’
  • The application process is not complete until and unless the ‘Confirmation Page’ is generated.
  • Applicants are required to take a Print-out of the Confirmation Page and should preserve the same carefully till the admission process is complete.
  • The confirmation page cannot be regenerated at any later stage.

Correction of Application form

  • If applicants want to make any kind of correction, they need to personally visit the board office with all the original documents within the last date of the application.
  • The Board’s decision in this regard will be final and binding for the candidate.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be a citizen of India.
  • Applicants must have a domicile of West Bengal
  • No restrictions on age

Universities and colleges in West Bengal which offer a three year MCA course follow one of the following modules of eligibility criteria:

Module 1:

  • Applicants must have passed three years bachelor degree program from a university recognized by UGC
  • They should have secured at least 60% marks in Honors/Aggregate(45% for SC/ST Applicants) OR
  • Applicants should have a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) from institute/ colleges recognized by All India Institute of Common Entrance Examination (AICTE) with 60% in mathematics at a bachelor’s level.

Module 2:

  • They must have a UGC and/or AICTE recognized bachelor’s degree of 3 years except for BBA with mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level.
  • Obtained 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBA – A/OBC – B Applicants) at graduation level.

Module 3:

  • Applicants must be completed graduation, or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognized University / Institute.
  • Applicants must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education.
  • Applicants have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/O>BC-B Applicants) at each level of education.

Module 4:

  • Applicants must have obtained a B.Sc. Honors degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC recognized University / Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in Hons. / Aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) along with at least 55% marks in Mathematics.
  • They must be secured at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.
  • Applicants have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B Applicants) at each level of education.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Exam Pattern

JECA question paper is a combination of two papers (Mathematics & Aptitude based test. The time duration given for this paper will be 3 hours, and this will be a computer-based test.

  • The first two hours will be for the first paper and the last hour will be for the 2nd
  • Even if the applicant completes the first paper, he won’t be able to move to the second paper until the 2 hours is completed.
  • Paper 1 will be for the subject of Mathematics and will be for 100 marks.
  • Applicants have to attempt all 100 questions, and each question will be for 1 mark.
  • Paper 2 will be for the Aptitude Test and will be for 50 marks, and each question will be for 1 mark.
  • 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer no matter from which paper it is.
  • All questions will be MCQ type and have to be answered online in one hour.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Syllabus

Below are the two topics that the applicants need to focus on for the WBJEE JECA examination:

  • Mathematics
    • Analytical Geometry: Cartesian and polar coordinate; Straight line; Circle; Ellipse; Parabola; Hyperbola; Translation & Rotation of axes
  • Algebra: Complex number, De Moiver’s theorem, Solution of linear equations, Determinants, Matrices, Summation of signal series, Addition of vectors, Scalar and Vector products, Inequation, Sets and elements, Universal set, Empty set, Subsets, Venn diagram, Union and intersection of sets, Complements, Algebra of sets, Finite sets, Class of sets, Partitions, Cross product, Group, Ring and Field.
  • Calculus: Limit, Continuity, Differentiation; Maxima & minima; Taylor & Maclaurin’s Series: Definite and indefinite integrals, First Ana second order differential equation; Functions of several variables; partial differentiation.
  • Probability & Statistics: Permutation, Combination; Probability; Probability distribution; Mean; Median; Mode; Standard Deviation; Correlation coefficient.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Admit Card

The Admit Cards to the WBJEE JECA examination will be available on the official website of WBJEEB. Applicants must ensure that the admit card is not damaged even by accident.

Applicants with such Admit Cards will not be allowed to appear in the JECA examination. Duplicate admit cards cannot be generated after the examination is completed.

Therefore applicants are advised to keep their Admit Cards carefully.In case of any difference in the information on the admit card, the applicants must immediately contact the admissions office and get the error rectified before the exam.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Result

WBJEE JECA Results and merit list will be declared on the official website of the exam by WBJEEB. The final result of the exam is released in the form of rank cards containing ranks and the total scores of applicants.

WBJEE JECA rank cards can be downloaded by the applicants by logging in to the official website. Please note that duplicate rank cards will not be generated at any stage. Therefore the applicants are always advised to preserve their JECA rank card for all future purposes.

It is not necessary that all the applicants who clear the JECA examination will be eligible for the counseling process. To be eligible for counseling the applicant will have to secure the minimum cut-off which will be declared at the time of result announcement.

WBJEE JECA 2021 Counselling

There will be a fee of Rs. 500/- for the counseling process. Applicants have to download the challan from the official website.

Applicants also have to get the E Challan copy of the boards on the day of Counseling. Applicants have to bring the duly filled forms with them on the day of Counseling.
