GCET 2020 Merit List

On the official website of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the GCET merit list will be declared for the candidates and those candidates have attended the examination of GCET, only they can view the merit list after viewing their result separately. The merit list will not display individually, it will display entire candidates name in the merit list.

Those candidates will secure the qualified marks in the examination of GCET; they will be shortlisted in the merit list through the admission committee. The merit list will be prepared on the basis aggregate marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, etc.

Procedure to check GCET 2020 Merit List

The candidates can check their GCET merit list by following this procedure, which is mentioned below

  • The Final merit list of GCET will declare on the official website of GCET DTE.
  • Candidates can check the merit list through online mode.
  • The candidates can check the merit list as per their category.
  • Applicants have to verify their marks and details given in the provisional merit list of GCET.
  • If any discrepancy has displayed in the merit list, then candidates can directly contact to the admission committee through sending notice within 24 hours.
  • The provisional merit list will be declared in 3rd week of June 2020.

GCET 2020 Merit List Important instructions

The candidates can know the important instruction of GCET merit list by following this details, which is given below

  • Those candidates will have the eligibility criteria, only they can select in the merit list of GCET
  • There is only for general category candidates and reserved category candidates, the separate merit list will be prepared through admission committee.
  • The merit list was prepared considering aggregate marks in Physics and Maths as obtained in GCET, i.e. candidates with higher marks will be placed above those with lesser marks

Inter-se-merit for GCET 2020 merit list

In case, more than two candidates get the same marks in the examination, then those candidates will get more marks in mathematics, they will be placed higher.  On the basis of marks in mathematics and physics subject, the merit list will be prepared for candidates. In case, there is a tie in mathematics score, the candidate with more marks in chemistry will be ranked higher

If this discrepancy continued, then aggregate marks of physics and chemistry in Class XII will be considered. Those candidates will get higher aggregate marks, they will be placed higher. If the aggregate of the candidates is equal, the candidate with the higher score in chemistry will be ranked higher. If the discrepancy still continued, it will finally be decided based on the age of the candidate. The candidate who is older in age will be placed higher.

GCET 2020 Merit List for All Courses

Following are the merit list of GCET has given below in courses wise and those candidates are selected in the merit list, they can check it as per courses.

The candidates will be select in the merit list on the basis of their result and those candidates get the qualifying score in the different courses, only they will be selected in the merit list. The merit list will declare on the official website of DTE GCET.

Courses wise merit list

  • Medicine and Dentistry
  • Homoeopathy, Ayurveda
  • Allied Health Sciences and Nursing
  • Engineering for all eligible applicants
  • Pharmacy for all eligible applicants
  • Architecture for all eligible applicants

For MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy) and BAMS (Ayurveda)

  • On the basis of NEET UG 2020 scores, the merit list of these courses will be prepared.
  • The applicants have to secure the qualifying score in the examination of NEET 2020 to get admission in the colleges within the state of Goa.

For Degree courses in Architecture

  • Those applicants are seeking to get admission in Degree course in Architecture must have appeared, they have to appear in the examination of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2020).
  • Candidates should have to score the eligible marks in the examination of National Aptitude Test

For Professional Degree Courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing

The candidate should appear and obtain a valid score in the GCET 2020 for admission in the colleges within the state of Goa.

At the Admission Center of Directorate of Technical Education, the provisional merit list of all professional courses will declare on the notice board. Candidates should have to present at the center as per the specified time and date. The merit list also will be available on the official website of DTE GCET.

All of the shortlisted candidates have to verify their all necessary documents at the admission center and also the provisional merit list will be verified at the center. If any discrepancy will found, then candidates should immediately inform to the Chairmen, Admission Committee in the letter.
