NIFT 2023 Application Form has been available on 1st November 2022. NIFT’s full form is the National Institute of Fashion Technology it is a national-level examination.

The entrance exam is organized by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Through this exam, candidates can get admission to various UG and PG courses in the field of fashion and technology.  Candidates can get admission into B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, and MFM programs.

How To Apply Application Form 2023

Candidates can apply online at www.nift.ac.in . Guidelines for applying online may be referred to for this purpose. The prospectus is available at the NIFT website www.nift.ac. for free of cost. The Application Fee has to be paid through an online payment gateway or Bank Demand Draft issued in favor of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi.

• Non-Refundable Fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category: Rs. 2000/- through payment gateway or Demand Draft.
• Non-Refundable Fee for SC/ ST/ PWD Category: Rs. 1000/- through payment gateway or Demand Draft.
• Mode of Payment of Application Fee: Credit Cards/Debit Cards and Demand Draft

(A) Credit Cards /Debit Cards

Payments of the Application Fee (Rs.2000/-or Rs.1000/-) can be made through credit cards/debit cards as explained above. The bank and/or transaction charges on the Application Fee will be borne by the candidate. Candidates are advised to apply on time.

(B) Demand Draft

Payment of the Application Fee (Rs 2000/-in case of GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates and Rs 1000/- in
case of SC/ST/PWD- candidates) can be made through Bank Demand Draft as explained above. The
Demand Draft should be issued in favor of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi. The details of the Demand
The draft is to be filled in the online application form.
Candidates are advised to check the following details carefully before sending the Demand Draft

• DD made in favor of “NIFT HO”,
• Amount of Demand Draft as applicable i.e. Rs 2000/- in case of GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates and Rs.1000/- in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates
• Name, Date, Amount & Signature of the issuing authority on the Demand Draft.

Candidates applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respects, along with Demand Draft to the following address:

NIFT 2023 Application Form Step-by-Step Filling

The duly filled form should reach the above address on time. Incomplete forms or forms received late will not be accepted. The Institute does not take any responsibility for delay or loss of forms or correspondence in postal transit or by courier. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the printout and Demand a Draft for future reference.

Candidates are advised to keep a printout/photocopy of the Application Form for further reference along with proof of payment.
Window to edit/ update Application Form Before making the payment candidate can edit/amend the information in the online application.

Once the candidate makes the payment, he/she will not be allowed to change/modify any information by the system.

However, candidates will be allowed to review and correct their personal information (changing the City of Examination is not permitted) in the Application Form from October 2022 till December 2022 (without late fee) and filled till January 2023 (With late Fee).

Application fee already paid will not be refunded in case the application is found not eligible for admission to NIFT after editing/updating of the application form.

It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct information during the application process. At any stage, if it is found that the information provided by the candidate is not true, NIFT has the right to cancel his/her candidature. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the institute will lead to the automatic disqualification of the candidate.

After closing the window to edit the application form/registration category filled up in the application form will not be changed at any stage. Therefore, candidates/guardians have been advised to fill-up the application form with due diligence.

The Examination Process

All eligible candidates would have to go through an examination process. The process for each program is separately listed below:

B. Des Course

For candidates to the UG Design programs, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a situation test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

B. Tech Course

For candidates to the UG Fashion Technology program, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT).

M. Des Course

For candidates to the PG Design program, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

M.F.M. Course

For the M.F.M program, the selection process comprises of a Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

M.F Tech Course

For the M.F.M program, the selection process comprises of the Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

The Written Examination (for All Programmes)

Based on their choice of the city, all eligible candidates will have to appear for the written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill, and aptitude of the candidates for the program opted.

List Of Examination Centres

A Paper-Based Test (PBT) for all UG and PG Programmes will be conducted on the 2nd week of January 2023 at 32 cities.
The candidate may select only ONE city for the examination on the 2nd week of January 2023. No request for a change in the examination center will be entertained at any stage.
