IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Result has been Declared on 23rd March 2023. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi invites applications for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme for the 2023 Session.

The University will be admitting students for the B.Ed. The program mentioned below starts in February 2023 all over the Country. Applications are being invited from the engrossed candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) for the July 2023 Session.

The program also provides opportunities for sharing experiences gained by teachers. It enables teachers to select and organize learning experiences according to the requirement of learners
Besides, it provides knowledge and develops in them an understanding of areas such as educational evaluation, school management, etc.

IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Exam Dates (January Session)

Check the dates of IGNOU 2023. Below we have provided the dates for B.Ed.:

IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Application Form

Candidates should have possessed the following eligibility criteria defined by IGNOU for B.Ed. Program:

• IGNOU B.Ed January Session 2023 Application Form has been released on the 21st November 2022.
• The Last Date to Submit Application Form is the 20th December 2022.
• Candidates can sign up for IGNOU B.Ed. Entrance Test 2023 “Online” just on website https://ntaignou.nic.in.
• Online Application Form may be submitted through access to the NTA website https://ntaignou.nic.in. The Application Form other than online anymore is not accepted, in any case.
• Before filling out the online entrance form, please read carefully regarding the eligibility and program details contained in the e-prospectus available at https://ntaignou.nic.in, www.ignou.ac.in.
• Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin and then on the NTA website https://ntaignou.nic.in, www.ignou.ac.in. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be immediately prohibited.
• Candidates should ensure that the email address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own as all information/ communication shall be sent from NTA through email on the specified e-mail address or SMS on a given mobile number only.

How to Apply 

• Step-1: Apply for Online Registration and then note the system-created Application No.
• Step-2: Fill Online Application Form
• Step-3: Upload Scanned Photo (amongst 10 kb – 200 kb) & Signature (between 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
• Step-4: Pay Examination Fee that uses the Syndicate/ICICI Payment Gateway and keeps the proof of fee paid.
• Step-5: Download the Confirmation Page and Print at the very least four copies of the Confirmation Page.
• All 5 Steps can be completed at a time or at separate times.
• The candidates called for offline admission counseling at nodal regional centers will be rumored on their email id, as an alternative candidates can access the intimation on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in. They are advised to make timely arrangements that will occur for counseling and for joining the program, as the case may be. The University will not issue any paper intimation to the candidates.

Application Fee

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test Fee: Rs. 600/-

• Through Debit/Credit card – Candidates have to check the validity of the Debit/Credit Card while logging on to the website for the submission Application Form. The candidate should provide the requested information and make the required payment through a Debit/Credit Card.
• Through Net Banking – Please check your balance in the account and keep everyone’s credentials ready while logging on to the website for submitting Application Form. Candidate should Sign in with his/her credentials of net banking and make payment through Net Banking.

Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2023

The following categories are eligible to be the students of B.Ed. (ODL):

• Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
• Candidates who have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.
• The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Govt.
  Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and war widow candidates will be provided as per the University Rules.
• A Master’s Degree awarded without a first degree is not accepted for Academic Studies in IGNOU.
• The Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and War window candidates will be provided following the University Rules.

Scheme of IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam

• Mode of Examination –  LAN Based CBT (Computer Based Test)
• Duration  – Two (02) Hours
• Type of Questions – Multiple Choice Question
• Maximum Marks – 100
• Scoring :
• 1 Mark for the correct response
• No negative marking for an incorrect response
• The medium of Paper – ENGLISH, and Hindi ONLY (for B.Ed.)

GNOU B.Ed Syllabus:

IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Admit Card

IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Admit  Card has been released on the 2nd January 2023. The Admit Card is issued temporarily to the candidates, subject to their compliance with the eligibility conditions.

The applicant should download the Admit Card from the NTA website w.e.f. 1st week of April 2023 onwards and will appear for the Examination at the given Centre on Date and Shift (Timing) as stated in their Admit Card.

No candidate will not be allowed to appear at the examination center, on Dates and Timings other than those that have been assigned to them in their Admit card.

In case candidates can not download Admit Cards from the website, the candidate should get close to Help Line between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The candidates are advised to read the instructions on Admit Card.

IGNOU B.Ed 2023 Admission Process

Admission shall be done based on the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India. The candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with an attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form.

The original documents are to be submitted later after receiving the offer letter for admission. No change of category code shall be entertained from the candidate after the submission of the Entrance cum Admission Form

Entrance Test for IGNOU BEd Admission 2023

The Entrance Test will be held on the date mentioned in the Advertisement Hall Tickets will upload on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in for appearing in the Entrance Test.

Mere allowing candidates to take the Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of their eligibility for admission to B.Ed.

The final admission to the program shall be subject to their rank in the merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility at the time of the last date of submission of Application for admission to B.Ed. the program along with original certificates and program fee

The number of seats of each PSC is limited to 50 only The university reserves the right to conduct the examination at different centers/change the examination center of the candidates without assigning any reason thereof

Reservation

The University provides reservations of seats for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and a Non-creamy layer of OBC, War Widows, Kashmiri Migrants, and Physically Handicapped learners, as per the Government of India rules, for admission to its various programs.

The candidates will be required to submit only the filled-in application form with all attested documents as mentioned in the Entrance cum Admission Form at the concerned Regional Centre along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- as application fee in favor of IGNOU payable at the concerned Regional Centre.

Price of Prospectus

Rs.1000/- (Including Registration Fee) (Rs.1000/- at the counter and Rs.1050/- by post).
The last date to submit the filled-in application form to the concerned Regional Centre will be the date.
