Meghalaya DIET 2023 Application Form

Meghalaya DIET 2023 application form has been released on the 9th May 2023.

• Meghalaya DIET 2023 application from the last date is the 23rd May 2023.

Educational Qualification:

• Class 12th Passed with 50% marks, 5% relaxable for ST/SC/OBC/PH or its corresponding.

• There will be the block-wise distribution of seats to enable the handiness of trained teachers in the vicinity in the individual blocks in accordance with last year’s information.

Meghalaya DIET Merit List

Among the candidates having the same total marks, a candidate will be ranked higher than the rest by age. A candidate is senior in age shall be ranked higher in order of merit.

The intermediate merit of distinguished sports persons shall be prepared as per the criteria as mentioned at 10.4(B)3, supra. A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured in Entrance Test.

There shall be no personal interview for the selection of candidates. However, counseling shall be held for ascertaining the credentials and sponsoring the candidates to different DIETs and privately managed institutions.

False Documents

• Student’s admission will be canceled if they are found to have obtained false, forged, fabricated, or tampered documents.
• Meghalaya D.El.Ed can cancel the Student’s admission at any stage besides registering a criminal case against him/her and barring him/her for re-admission in D.El.Ed for three years.
• In case of any dispute, the final decision will be taken by the Director DIET Meghalaya.

No Migration

• Since the admission in two years D.El.Ed course will be made by the entrance exam followed by the counseling by the Meghalaya Board of School Education Meghalaya in Govt. DIET Institutions and 28 recognized Private Institutions thus no migration will allow in favor of any candidates from one institution to another institution after admission neither in Govt. DIET nor in Private D.El.Ed Institutions to save time, money and human resources as well.

Selection Procedure

According to previous year information, the selection of the candidate will be based on the following conditions:

• Merit as per block quota.
• Entrance Test.

Reservation Policy

• Selection will be completed in order of merit in accordance with Meghalaya Govt. Reservation Policy for different societies of the state.
• 5% of the seat will be reserved for the person with incapacities.
