MHT CET PharmacyMH CET 2021 eligibility will be prescribed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. It is the authority that regulates the MH CET Test. It’s a statewide test.

This exam is organized to provide admission to UG courses, i.,e. Engineering, and Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharm.D.

Through this examination, candidates can obtain admission to the various institutions/colleges located in Maharashtra. In this article, we are providing full details of the MH CET Exam Pattern.

MH CET 2021 Eligibility

Candidates always verify eligibility before applying for the exam. The 2021 eligibility criteria for MHT Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharmacology Courses are as follows:

General Eligibility

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass the HSC/12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Appearing: Candidates, who are in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing & admission to MHT CET 2021.

Eligibility For Admission To First Year Engineering /Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D. Courses.

All the candidates who passed/appearing at the qualifying examination, i.e., HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination, and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MH CET 2021.

There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MH CET 2021.

(A) Candidature Type.

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature. – A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type, i.e., from Type A to E.

Type Eligibility Criterion
Type-A (i)  Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State;

(ii)  The candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and is born in Maharashtra;

Type-B A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.
Type-C A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who will be posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
Type-D A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type-B, and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type-E Candidates passing SSC and HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.
  • All India Candidature -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category.
  • Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority

Community from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature

The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or

  • The children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission; or
  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category;

Note: However as preference is given to the J & K Migrant candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2021.

  •  Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MH CET 2021.

Note:-

(a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT CET 2021 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B. Tech.

However, All India Candidature & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MH CET 2021 as Score of JEE (Main) Paper I shall be preferred over MH CET 2021 for admission to B.E./B. Tech.

(b) It is mandatory to appear for MH CET 2021 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature, & Jammu, and Kashmir Migrant Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

Year and Course Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions
First-Year – Engineering / Technology (1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.

(1) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MH CET 2021.

Or

(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

Or

(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;

(2)  All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature

Candidates. –

(i)   The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii)   Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE(Main) Paper I or MH CET 2021.

Or

(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

Or

(ii)Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;

Eligibility criteria for Candidates belonging to Person with Disability:

In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, the candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disability is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates:

  • Candidate who is visually impaired (blind) Candidate type- P1, Candidate who is speech & hearing impaired (deaf & dumb) Candidate type- P2
  • A candidate who has orthopaedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic Candidate type -P3.
  • Provided they submit a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature.

Female candidates are not eligible for admission to the Mining Engineering course.
