MH CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria (Available), Qualification, Age – Check Category Wise Eligibility Here

MH CET 2024 eligibility will be prescribed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. It is the authority that regulates the MH CET Test. It’s a statewide test.

This exam is organized to provide admission to UG courses, i.,e. Engineering, and Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharm.D.

This examination allows candidates to be admitted to various institutions/colleges in Maharashtra. In this article, we are providing full details of the MH CET Exam Pattern.

MH CET 2024 Eligibility

Candidates always verify eligibility before applying for the exam. The 2024 eligibility criteria for MHT Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharmacology Courses are as follows:

General Eligibility

• Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
• Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass the HSC/12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Appearing: Candidates in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing & admission to MHT CET 2024.

Eligibility For Admission To First Year Engineering /Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D. Courses.

All the candidates who passed/appeared at the qualifying examination, i.e., HSC/12^th Standard or its equivalent examination, and have Indian Nationality are eligible to appear for MH CET 2024.

There is no age limit for admission and appearance to MH CET 2024.

(A) Candidature Type.

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature. – A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type, i.e., from Type A to E.

• All India Candidature -Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category.
• Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority

Community from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature

The children of citizens who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border areas of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or

• The children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission; or
• The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category;

Note: However, preference is given to the J & K Migrant candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2024.

•  Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and Foreign nationals – These Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MH CET 2024.

Note:-

(a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B. Tech.

However, All India Candidature & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MH CET 2024 as the Score of JEE (Main) Paper I shall be preferred over MH CET 2024 for admission to B.E./B. Tech.

(b) It is mandatory to appear for MH CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature, & Jammu, and Kashmir Migrant Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

Eligibility criteria for Candidates belonging to Person with Disability:

In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, the candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disabilities is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates:

• Candidate who is visually impaired (blind) Candidate type- P1, Candidate who is speech & hearing impaired (deaf & dumb) Candidate type- P2
• A candidate with orthopaedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Spastic Candidate type -P3.
• Provided they submit a certificate stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is permanent.

Female candidates are not eligible for admission to the Mining Engineering course.
