On January 15, 1974, the keystone of Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology was laid by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi at Mashodhaclose to Faizabad city. Shri Laxmi Narain Rai, a PCS officer of the Agriculture Department, Government of UP, was transferred as the officer to a special obligation. Afterward not many months, he was succeeded by Dr. A.S. Srivastava which has taken over in October 1974.

Thereafter on 21,1975, the government of UP decided that the main campus of the university would be set up at Kumarganj, Faizabad instead of Mashodha. Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology organizes the Examination of a number of courses UG And PG Mid Term Examination In The Month Of October And Final Main Examination During The Month Of December.
