Puducherry NEET Counseling 2022 Registration will be started in November 2022. The NEET will be conducted through online mode. The Puducherry NEET Counselling 2022 will be conducted by the MCC (Medical Council Committee). NEET is the national level entrance examination to provide admission in MBBS and BDS Courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of India. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). From the year 2022 onwards, the AIPMT Exam was replaced by the NEET examination.

The counseling is done through online mode and will commence after the declaration of the NEET Result. The counseling procedure will be managed by the Medical Council Committee. All the Medical Institutions are providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses which is based on the NEET score.

The counseling for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota Seats will be conducted separately in all the medical and dental colleges. The MCC will conduct centralized counseling for all category candidates. For the management seats in private medical colleges, candidates have to apply separately to various colleges.

NEET Counselling for 15% All India Quota

The All India Quota Seats of 15%, the candidates those who will appear in the entrance examination, only those candidates will appear in NEET Counselling 2022. The candidates who will obtain marks above 15% All India Cut-off will be able to participate in All India Counselling. In 15% AIQ counseling, all state medical and dental colleges participate to offer the admissions in their colleges.

In this counseling, the candidates will get admission to medical colleges located anywhere in India. After the counseling process, the seats are allotted on the basis of all India rank of the candidate and filled choices. Candidates participating in the counseling can also take part in state quota counseling of their respective states.

State MBBS/BDS Counselling 2022

The 85% state quota counseling will be conducted for providing admission in the state medical and dental colleges in government as well as non-government colleges. Candidates seeking admission and qualified the NEET Counselling, have to register on the website. The counseling schedule and details will be announced on the websites of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorate of States.

The counseling will be organized by the respective counseling authorities as per the rules and norms for admission in medical colleges/dental colleges. The candidates are advised to check the sites to get notifications about counseling.

Reservation Criteria

The candidates who will claim for the reserve category benefit should produce the relevant document. The horizontal reservation will only be considered if seats will remain vacant in the vertical reservation. The percentage reservation in each category is given below:

Admission Procedure for Puducherry NEET Counselling 2022

• Registration: Candidates have to register to appear in the counseling process.
• Filling Choice and Locking: After registration, candidates have to fill the choices of colleges and courses and lock it.
• Seat Allotment: After the first round of counseling, the seat is allotted to the candidates. Seats are allotted on the basis of rank and choice preferences.
• Modify and Lock: If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seats can modify the choices and again lock it.
• Reporting to Allotted College: The seats will be allotted to the candidates, they need to report at the allotted college to confirm the seats and admission.
• Second Round of Counselling: If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seats, they can proceed to the next round of counseling.
