NMMS 2020: Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

The NMMS is commonly known as the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship. The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship is an exam that is also known as NMMS Exam 2020. The Central Government is the official organizing body to conduct the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship exam every year for the eligible applicants. However, the exam is managed by the local educational authorities to award 1,00,000 scholarships to the eligible applicants from class IX to class XII.

However, only those applicants will be eligible to get the scholarship from the authority whose parents’ income is not more than Rs 1,50,000 per annum from all sources. The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship is conducted in each state and union territories. However, the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship will be organized in two stages only.

The first stage of the exam will be conducted by the respective state authorities. Applicants who have cleared the first stage will be eligible to appear for the second stage conducted by the NCERT. Applicants will get all the notification and information about the entrance exam on the official website of the university itself.

NMMS 2020 Application Form

The important information related to the application form is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

  • In online mode applicants have to fill the application form in order to appear for the exam.
  • Applicants need to register themselves in order to get the application form.
  • After that applicants need to start filling the application form.
  • At the time of filing the application form, applicants need to enter all necessary details in the application form as needed.
  • All the details should be filed properly in the application form.
  • After that applicants need to take a printout of the duly filled application form.
  • Once the printout of the application form is taken applicants need to pay the application fee as mention on the official website and submit the application form before the due

NMMS 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The important information related to the eligibility criteria is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

Educational qualification:

  • Applicants who are studying in class IX in any government, local body and government-aided schools are eligible to appear.

The income of parents:

  • Parents of the applicants whose income is not more than Rs 1,50,000 per annum from all sources are only eligible to apply for the exam.

Qualifying marks:

  • One must have scored more than 55% marks in the class VIII if they belong to the general one must have scored not less than 50% marks in the class VIII if they belong to reserved category.

NMMS 2020 Paper Pattern

The important information related to the paper pattern is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

  • 90 minutes duration will be allotted to the applicants to solve the paper.
  • The question paper of the exam will contain 90 questions of 90 marks only.

NMMS 2020 Admit Card 

The official authority will update the admit card on the official website for the reference of the Applicants’ need to use the login credentials and download the admit card.

Applicants must take some copies of the admit card and carry the same at the time of the entrance exam.

NMMS 2020 Result

After completion of the entrance exam, the official authority will announce the results on the official website of the university for the reference of the applicants.

Applicants need to visit the website using the roll number and date of birth and download the result from the website.

Along with the results, applicants are instructed to check the cut off marks available on the official website.

As on the basis of the marks scored by the applicants in the entrance exam, they will be eligible to get admission in the institution.

NMMS 2020 Selection Procedure

The official authority will provide a scholarship to those applicants only who will score more than the cut off mark decided by the official authority. Applicants need to clear the first and second level exam in order to get the scholarship.

Applicants who belong to the general category must have scored more than 40% marks individually in both the test that is Mat and SAT. However, the reserved category applicants must have scored more than 32% marks in both the test separately.

The scholarship will be provided to those applicants whose parents’ income is less than Rs 1.50 lakh per annum from all sources. One should meet the eligibility criteria set by the authority in order to get the scholarship. As the official authority will not provide a scholarship to those applicants who will not satisfy the eligibility criteria.
