The VITEEE is the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination. The Vellore Institute of Technology has managed this examination to offer admission to candidates in Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering specializing informatics but should take maths as a bridge course.

VITEEE 2024 Official Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

• The applicant for admission should be a Resident /Non-Resident Indian National.
• Foreign Candidates who studied/are studying abroad can apply directly through the foreign category only. A separate application form is made available. Kindly check our website for details.

Qualifying Examination:

• Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2024 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024 in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

• The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination is conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
• Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised University.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
• As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining. Other Open School candidates are not eligible for VITEEE.
• Candidates who have appeared for the +2 exam through different boards in the same academic year are not eligible to appear for VITEEE-2024.

Eligibility Criteria Qualification Examination:

• Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2024 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (10+2 /Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST.
• Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY should be produced during counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
• Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programs.
• Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-engineering and B.Tech. Biotechnology programs. They are also eligible for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Spl. in Bioinformatics) and Electronics and Communication with Spl. in Biomedical Engineering, but registering Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory after joining.

Age Limit:

• Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1^st July 1998 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2024. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing for which they will be disqualified.

VITEEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for NRI’s and Foreign Students

• The Candidates should have studied at an English Medium School.
• For Admissions in any B. Tech course, a candidate should have completed 10+2 years with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology.
• A minimum of 60% in all the subjects mentioned is mandatory.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2024 – Additional Information

Applicants must keep carrying the required documents at the time of filling up the VITEEE application form:

• Softcopy or scanned copy of recently taken passport-size colour.
• The photograph size should be between 50 KB – 100 KB, and dimensions- 3.5 cm * 4.5 cm.
• Soft copy or scanned copy of the candidate’s signature with 20 KB – 50 KB dimensions of 3.5 cm * 1.5 cm in JPG/JPEG format.
