JoSAA 2024: Registration, Dates, Choice Filling, Allotment Result, Admission Process

JoSAA 2024 Registration & Choice Filling will be started on 10th June 2024 (tentatively). JoSAA, also known as the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The JoSAA exam was established to manage and regulate admission to 92 tertiary institutes administered by the Indian Government.

Candidates can enter into IITs, NITs, Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIT), and GFTI (Government Funded Technical Institutes). Online candidates can take the entrance exam. The deserving candidate will be given admission, so candidates must score good marks on the Entrance Exam.

Qualified candidates from JEE Main or JEE Advanced are eligible to partake in the JoSAA counselling 2024. The authority will imminently announce the JoSAA 2024 dates online. Students must complete JoSAA registration and choice filling to qualify for seat allotment and subsequent rounds of counselling.

Here important dates are given for the JoSAA Entrance Exam. All candidates should know that the entrance exam necessary times:

JoSAA 2024 Registration Form

• The JoSSA 2024 Registration Form will be available via online mode.
• Candidates have to fill out and submit the application before the due date if candidates file after the due date, it will not be accepted.
• The JoSAA 2024 Registration & Choice Filling will be started on 10th June 2024 on the official portal, and the last date to submit is the end of June 2024.
• After registration, candidates will be sent a login password and ID proof, and candidates should use the password for JEE (Advanced) or JEE (Mains).
• Candidates who appear in JEE (Mains) are eligible to register for seat allocation in the NIT+ system, and also those who qualify for JEE (Advanced) will be eligible to register for seat allocation in all participating Institutes.
• Candidates must pay the application fees through the State Bank of India e-Challan.

JoSAA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For JoSAA 2024, there are no specific eligibility criteria outlined by the JoSAA itself. However, candidates must qualify either the JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024 exams to participate in JoSAA counselling. Additionally, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the participating institutes to be allotted a seat for B.Tech admission. Failure to meet these criteria may result in the candidate not being allotted a seat in the institute of their choice.

To apply, candidates have to take the Qualifying Examination of JEE (Adv.) for IITs & ISM, JEE (Mains)  Paper I (Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology) for NITs, IIITs & GFTIs, and JEE (Mains) Paper-II (Bachelor of Architecture / B. Plan.) NITs, IIITs &GFTIs.

The registration and choice-filling process for JoSAA 2024 will be conducted online by the authorities. The tentative date for JoSAA 2024 registration is June 10, 2024. Eligible candidates must register before the final date to participate in JoSAA 2024. Only candidates who qualify JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024 will be able to log in and register for the JoSAA counselling procedure.

Step 1: Registration – Initially, candidates must complete the JoSAA 2024 registration process. They can follow the outlined steps to register for JoSAA 2024.

• Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website of JoSAA 2024.
• Click on the Registration Link: Find and click on the registration link provided.
• Enter Login Credentials: Input your JEE Main 2024 roll number and password to start. JEE Advanced 2024 qualified candidates should use their corresponding passwords.
• Provide Basic Details: Fill in essential information such as nationality, state code of eligibility, and gender.
• Review and Confirm: Carefully review all entered information for accuracy, then confirm.
• Note on Information Modification: While contact information can be modified, personal details cannot be altered once confirmed.

Step 2: JoSAA Choice Filling: Following the completion of JoSAA registration, candidates proceed to fill their choices of courses and colleges from the provided list. Eligible courses and colleges based on their qualifications (JEE Main or JEE Advanced) will be available online. Candidates must prioritize their selections in order of preference.

Step 3: Choice Locking: Candidates must finalize their selected choices by locking them. It’s crucial to note that once choices are locked, no further changes can be made. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the locked choices for future reference.

JoSAA Rank List 2024

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will publish the rank list for JoSAA 2024 subsequent to the announcement of results for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Separate rank lists will be issued for various categories. The opening and closing rank lists for JoSAA counselling will be formulated based on the marks obtained in JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024.

JoSAA Mock Allotment 2024

The exam governing body administers JoSAA 2024 mock allotment to offer candidates an understanding of their chances for admission to their desired colleges. The outcomes of the JoSAA mock allotment are published on the official website. Should the allocated colleges and courses not meet expectations, candidates have the opportunity to modify their preferences accordingly. As the JoSAA allotment is provisional, candidates are granted sufficient time to adjust their preference order as needed.

JoSAA Counselling 2024

Eligible candidates must engage in JoSAA 2024 counselling to secure admission into participating institutes. The counselling process comprises registration, choice filling, mock allotment, final allotment, etc. JoSAA will conduct six rounds of counselling in 2024 to facilitate admissions for all eligible candidates. Following the announcement of the JoSAA mock allotment, candidates can adjust their previously selected preferences. The JoSAA allotment results will be available online, requiring candidates to log in to download their provisional allotment results.

JoSAA Seat Allocation 2024

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will publish the seat allocation results for rounds 1 to 6 online. Candidates can check their seat allocation result by logging in using their JEE Main 2024 roll number and password.

How to check JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2024?

To check the JoSAA seat allotment result, candidates should follow these steps:

• Visit the Official Website: Navigate to the official website josaa.nic.in.
• Click on “View Seat Allotment Result” Link: Locate and click on the “View Seat Allotment Result” link on the website.
• Enter Login Credentials: Provide your JEE Main 2024 application number, password, and security pin as prompted.
• Click on “Login”: Once you’ve entered your login credentials, click on the “Login” button to proceed.
• View Seat Allotment Results: The JoSAA 2024 seat allotment results will be displayed on the screen.
• Download Allotment Letter: If allotted, download the allotment letter for the allocated seat.
• Take a Printout: Ensure to take a printout of the allotment letter for future reference.

What after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2024?

Candidates will be assigned seats according to their merit in JEE Main/JEE Advanced, their preferences, category, and seat availability. Upon allocation, candidates must download their provisional allotment letter and remit the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 35,000. Subsequently, candidates must undergo document verification at the Reporting Centre (RC).

After the JoSAA seat allotment results 2024 are declared by the authorities, allotted candidates will have the following options based on their preference:

• Floating: Candidates opting for this choice accept the allotted seat but remain open to upgrade for admission to higher preferred institutes or courses.
• Freezing: Candidates who are content with their allocated seats and do not desire to participate in further counselling rounds should select this option.
• Sliding: Candidates selecting this option confirm their allotment but remain eligible for admission to a higher preferred course within the same institute.

Upon completion of document verification, candidates must report to their respective allotted institutes to finalize their admission. Additionally, candidates are required to remit the necessary fees as part of the admission process.

JoSAA Cutoff 2024

The JoSAA 2024 cutoff, representing the range of opening and closing ranks for admission to various participating institutes such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, will be published by the authorities after each round of seat allotment.

JoSAA Reporting Centres 2024

Once the allotment process concludes, candidates must verify their documents at JoSAA 2024 reporting centres. The authorities will publish the list of reporting centres on the official website. Here are some key points regarding JoSAA reporting centres:

• Candidates are required to physically report to JoSAA reporting centres 2024 for document verification.
• They should bring original and photocopies of all necessary documents for verification.
• Different reporting centres will be designated for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs.
• Candidates must report to the reporting centres corresponding to their allotted institutes, which are categorized into the NIT+ system (NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs) and IITs.
• Following document verification, candidates must complete their admission procedure by reporting to their allotted institute.
• If there is a change in seat allotment from the NIT+ system to IITs or vice versa, candidates must report to the newly assigned institute. Failure to report will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
