NEET Exam Pattern

NEET 2018 is the gateway to offer admission to deserving applicants in MBBS and BDS courses at the best colleges of India. The applicants who are interested in NEET 2018 can apply for the examination before the last date of application.

NEET 2018 application form will be available from 1st week of December 2017.after the release of official notice, interested candidates can apply for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

NEET 2018 Exam Pattern

  • of Question: Total 180 questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Exam Mode: Exam will be conducted through online mode (pen and paper based mode).
  • Type of Question: There will be objective type questions (four options with one correct answer).
  • Subjects: Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Zoology & Botany) subjects.
  • Exam Duration: The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  • Language:Question paper will be asked in 8 languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu languages.
  • Marking Scheme: Four marks will be given for each correct answer (+4 Marks).
  • Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer (-1 Mark).

Exam mode

The exam will be conducted in pen and paper based format. Candidates will have to mark their responses in OMR answer sheet provided using a ball-point pen. The stationery will be provided to candidates inside the examination hall.

Application fee

The applicants have to pay the application fee to complete the application process. then application fee can be paid through online (using debit/credit card) or offline (using bank challan) mode.

NEET Counselling 2018

The counselling of NEET 2018 for 15% all India Quota seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC of the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), in the month of June 2018.

The NEET 2018 Counselling will be conducted in online mode for all those candidates who will qualify for admissions under all India quota seats in government medical and dental colleges across India.

The counselling NEET 2018 will be conducted for allotment of around 3850 MBBS and BDS seats only. In order to participate in NEET Counselling 2018, qualified candidates will have to first register themselves for the counselling process during the stipulated period announce, schedule and allotment result etc.

NEET Answer Key

The answer key will be released within a week of examination. NEET Answer Key will be published via online mode through the website. Candidates may have an opportunity for an online challenge against the answer key. Candidates have to pay Rs. 1000/- per answer challenged. The payment will be refunded in case of the challenge is accepted by the Board.

NEET Exam Centre 2018

The exam conducting authority, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct NEET 2018 exam in a total of 104 cities across the country. Earlier, only 80 examination cities were selected, but, after a substantial increase in NEET aspirants, CBSE also added 24 new cities to the existing list.

This must be noted that exam cities will be allotted through computers and there will not be any human involvement.

NEET Admit Card 2018

CBSE will be released NEET 2018 admit card in the month of April in online mode. In order to download the admit card of NEET 2018, candidates have to enter their registration number, date of birth and security pin.

The admit card of NEET 2018 contains details like candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, registration number, caste category, sub-category, date of birth, photograph, signature, language of question paper chosen, examination Centre address, examination Centre code and instructions to be followed during the examination.
