XAT 2024 Exam Pattern, Paper Mode, Marking Scheme- Check Here

XAT is termed Xavier Aptitude Test, an entrance test conducted for admission to the MBA course. One hundred thirty other MBA universities are considered for XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, BIMTECH, TAPMI, etc. XLRI is responsible for governing the XAT 2024. It is considered the 2^nd big MBA entrance exam to enrol in MBA/PGDM at 11 MBA colleges in India.

The exam is a 3 hours entrance test, and the fundamental thing to be noted is it consists of 4 Sections, Decision Making Verbal, Logical AbilityQuantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), General Knowledge (GK).

It is essential to get familiar with the type of questions coming up in the exam and based on which you can well prepare for the exam. The sections distributed in the question paper are changed, and the review will be set from the new year designation.

Marking Scheme

XAT Exam 2024 includes one mark for attempting the correct answer, and for attempting the wrong answer, there is an involvement of 0.25 negative marking. Students have permission to skip the eight questions above, and they are to face a 0.25 mark deduction. There is no Negative marking for the General Knowledge (GK) Section.

Sections

The question paper includes the Four sections of Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge features 100 multiple-type questions. The Essay type questions are removed from the paper.

Duration

The overall exam includes 3 hours. The 150 Minutes for Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation (QA & DI) Section and left 30 minutes for General Knowledge (GK) Section.

Mode of Answering

XAT 2024 will be organized through online mediums, and students are required to answer with a right-click. You can draw a line to the seat’s right for barbaric practice. The Essay Section is removed from the paper.

Number of Questions

The number of questions shows a significant change from year to year based on the options of exam officials. There are 22 Questions about Decision making, 26 questions about Verbal and Logical Ability, 27 questions in Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QA & DI) and 25 in General Knowledge (GK) Sections. The total number of questions is 100.
