UPESEAT 2024 Online Registration will be Started in November 2023. UPESEAT 2024 is the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test, a national-level entrance exam conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). UPES conducts the UPESEAT exam to select students for admission to its undergraduate (UG) engineering programs. Admission will be offered to UPES’s undergraduate (UG) engineering programs, which include B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering, and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. The UPESEAT exam is conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT).  

The UPESEAT exam is conducted once a year, in May. The application process for the UPESEAT exam is online. Candidates can apply for the exam through the UPES website. The content of the UPESEAT exam will include the following topics: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English Language Comprehension. The application form for the UPESEAT 2024 will be released in the last week of November 2023. The exam is scheduled to be held in May 2024. In the previous year, the cut-off for the UPESEAT was 85% for the general category and 80% for the reserved category. The highest score on the exam was 99.99%.

The Application Form for the UPESEAT 2024 exam will be available online on the official website of UPES. The application fee is INR 1,350 for all category candidates. The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) is a university-level examination conducted by UPES, Dehradun, for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs in various disciplines. The application form for the UPESEAT 2024 will be released in the last week of November 2023. 

UPESEAT is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of four sections: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English Language Comprehension. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. The marks obtained by the candidates in the UPESEAT 2024 exam (80%), JEE Mains score (10%), and board merit score (10%) will be considered for admission to the B.Tech. Programs offered by UPES.

UPESEAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Marks in the Qualifying Exam: Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in Class 10 and 12 and a 50% aggregate in the PCM subjects.
  • JEE Main 2024: Candidates who have achieved scores exceeding the specified cutoff marks in the JEE Main exam are exempt from taking the UPESEAT 2024 and can directly participate in the counselling process.
  • Board: Candidates who obtained scores equal to or greater than 80% in Class 10 and 12 are also excused from appearing in the UPESEAT 2024 and can directly engage in the counselling procedure.
