SRMJEEE 2024 Application Form has been released on 10th November 2023. The SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2024 is a national-level online entrance exam conducted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) for admission to its undergraduate engineering programs. The exam is held in multiple phases and is open to all students who have passed or are appearing for their 12th-class examinations. SRMJEEE 2024 will be held in April, May and June. The exam covers physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, English, and aptitude. After qualifying for the merit of the entrance exam, aspirants can get admission to the university to pursue a career in Engineering and Medical Courses of B.Tech and Biotechnology.

10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for SRMJEEE. Admission to SRMIST campuses and BTech courses is based only on SRMJEEE – All India Rank. It is a university-level entrance exam for all SRM Group Institutes and universities in Kattankullathur, NCR–Ghaziabad, Ramapuram. Through this SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) exam, admission will be given to the different UG Engineering and Technology courses. Those candidates who want admission to these courses must appear in the entrance exam to qualify for the admission procedure. There are three different campuses of SRM in Amravati, Haryana and Sikkim. Eligible candidates must fill out the form online to appear for the exam.

SRMJEEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Those who are of Indian origin, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and individuals holding PIO (Person of Indian Origin) or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cards are all considered eligible to participate in this prestigious examination.

Age Limit

Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st of July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

Academic Qualification

Here given below the academic qualification for SRMJEEE 2024:

  • Percentage: Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics.
  • Qualifying Exam: Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appeared in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.
  • Those candidates who are currently completing their 12th-level studies and are scheduled to appear for the examination in the year 2024 are also eligible to apply for SRMJEEE 2025.
  • Subjects: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Botany, Zoology, or Biotechnology. 

Note: 

  • Specific Courses and Marks: For BTech Biotechnology, Biotechnology with Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology with Regenerative Medicine, and Biomedical Engineering, you need at least 60% combined marks in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics. But for other courses, Chemistry is the key subject for eligibility.
  • Computer Science Consideration: If you want to use Computer Science, Information Technology, or Informatics Practices for eligibility, you’ll only qualify for BTech Computer Science and its specialisations.
  • NIOS Students: If you’ve completed +2 under the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), you should have finished 10th grade from regular schooling or vice versa.

Eligibility to apply for the Qualifying Examination

Applicants must fulfil the following conditions to be eligible for the qualifying examination:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed their class 12th level examination from a recognised educational board or university.
  • Subject Requirements: Candidates must have studied and passed Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects in their qualifying examinations. Additionally, they should have studied Mathematics, Biology, Botany and Zoology, or Biotechnology as one of the subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in their 12th-level examination. 
  • Age Limit: As of 31st July 2024, candidates must be at least 16 and 6 months old to qualify for the qualifying examination.
  • Nationality: Eligibility extends to Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRI), and individuals holding PIO or OCI cards. 
  • Candidates Appearing for Class 12th: Students currently pursuing their class 12th education and are scheduled to appear for the examination in 2024 can also apply.
  • Special Eligibility: Exceptional candidates are recognised and rewarded.   1. Mode: The examination will be administered using an online format known as Computer-Based Testing (CBT). This means that candidates will take the test using a computer interface.
  2. Duration: Test-takers will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the examination. This allocated time must be managed efficiently to answer all the questions within the stipulated time frame.
  3. Type of Questions: The exam will comprise multiple-choice questions (MCQs). These questions will present several options, and candidates must choose the correct answer among the given choices.
  4. Sections: The examination paper will be divided into a total of 5 distinct sections. Each section will likely cover specific subject areas or topics, ensuring a balanced assessment of the candidate’s knowledge.
  5. Marking Scheme: Candidates can earn 3 marks for each accurately answered question. This means that every correct response contributes positively to their total score, motivating candidates to try to address the questions.
  6. Negative Marking: One noteworthy aspect is that there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. This implies that candidates won’t be penalised for attempting questions they might not be entirely sure about. While there’s no risk of losing marks, it’s still recommended that candidates make informed choices to maximise their chances of scoring well.
  7. Number of Questions: The exam will be divided according to the following:
  • Physics (35 Questions): This section will encompass 35 questions focused on Physics. These questions will span various topics within physics, evaluating candidates’ understanding of fundamental principles and concepts in the field.
  • Chemistry (35 Questions): The Chemistry section will comprise 35 questions. These questions will cover various topics within chemistry, assessing candidates’ knowledge of chemical principles, reactions, and properties.
  • Mathematics/Biology (40 Questions): Depending on the candidate’s chosen stream, this section will consist of either Mathematics or Biology-related questions. Those opting for Mathematics can expect 40 questions testing their mathematical aptitude. On the other hand, Biology students will encounter questions relevant to their chosen biological science.
  • English (5 Questions): The English section assesses candidates’ language proficiency and comprehension skills. It will feature 5 questions related to English language and literature, examining candidates’ reading and interpretation abilities.
