DTE Kerala LETKTET 2020 Answer Key will be Releasing Soon. KTET is known as the Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test. It is conducted by the Government of Kerala. KTET Exam is laid down by certain rules & regulations under Central regulatory authorities. The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is the teaching aptitude test, which is organized through Commissioner for Government Examinations.

Those candidates will be eligible and interested to get teacher post for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes), and Category III (High School classes), they can apply for this test by filling the Application Form online mode.

This test is conducted twice a year to select the candidates for the post of teacher in Lower Primary, Upper Primary as well as High School classes in the state of Kerala. Kerala TET Application Form 2020

The Kerala TET Application Form has been available from 19th November 2020 and those applicants are wishing to get the post of Lower Primary, Upper Primary, as well as High School classes in the state of Kerala, can apply for this test by filling the application form through online mode. The Application Form filling the steps mentioned below.

  • The Last Date to Submit Application Form is 28th November 2020.
  • First of all, applicants need to go on the official web page of the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test.
  • Applicants have to log in on the official website by submitting the required details in the required field.
  • After logging in applicants will get a login ID to fill the Application Form and they have to fill all the required details in the application form as per instructions provided through authority.
  • Candidates have to submit the application form after verifying all filled details and then they have to make the payment of application fee through online mode by using credit/debit card, Net banking, or another mode of payment by challan.
  • If candidates have paid through challan, then they have to take the printout of the Challan from the website and remit the amount to any of the branches of SBI.
  • There will be final submission after submitting Transaction Id/SB collect reference No., Date of Birth, and mobile number in the login screen.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay the Exam Fee of Rs.500/- for each category and Rs.250/- for SC/ ST and differently able categories online.

Kerala TET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Those candidates want to apply in this examination; they should have to check their Eligibility Criteria before filling the Application Form. The Eligibility Criteria details mentioned below.

CATEGORY-I (for Lower Primary classes)

Minimum Qualifications to apply Applicants should be qualified in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two year Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Relaxation of qualifying marks to apply for K-TET – I There will be 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently abled categories and relaxation of 3% in qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.

Category II: (for Upper Primary classes)

Minimum Qualifications to apply B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms, and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed.
Relaxation of qualifying marks to apply for K-TET – I Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently abled categories. A relaxation of 3% in the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.

Category III (for High School classes)

The test is for HSAs in: (i) Malayalam (ii) English (iii) Hindi (iv) Sanskrit (v) Tamil (vi) Kannada (vii) Arabic (viii) Urdu (ix) Social Science (x) Physical Science (xi) Natural Science and (xii) Mathematics

Minimum Qualifications to apply BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned
For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, those who have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT will be eligible to apply.
For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with MSc.Ed. Degree in Life Science with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education is eligible to apply.
Relaxation of qualifying marks to apply for K-TET – I

 

Candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently-abled categories shall be granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum qualifying marks. Relaxation of 3% in the qualifying marks is admissible to OBC & OEC candidates to appear for the K-TET III.

Category – IV

For Language teachers in Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers and Physical Education teachers (up to High School level)

Minimum Qualifications to apply Candidates must have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of Kerala Education Act and Rules are eligible to apply for K-TET IV.
Relaxation of qualifying marks to apply for K-TET – I Those belong to SC/ST and differently-abled categories will be granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying marks prescribed for the eligibility to appear for the K-TETIV. The minimum requirement of a pass in the second class for the qualifying examination shall not be applicable in such cases. Those belong to OBC & OEC categories will be granted a relaxation of 3% marks in the qualifying marks prescribed for the eligibility to appear for K-TET-IV.

KTET 2019 Exam Syllabus

KTET-I Syllabus

Subject Topics to Study
Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 6-11) The syllabus shall focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with the focus on understanding for characteristics and needs of diverse, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning
Mathematics & Environmental Studies The test items of Mathematics and Environmental Studies shall focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes IV by SCERT.
Language I-Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada The test items for Language – I (Malayalam/Kannada/Tamil) shall focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction as chosen by the candidate at the time of submitting the application.
Language II- English/Arabic Language II shall be from the prescribed options other than Language I. Candidates can choose any one language from the available language options and the same shall be specified in the application form. The test items in Language II focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities

KTET-II Syllabus

Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 11-14) They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
For Mathematics and Science teachers: Mathematics and Science

or

For Social Science teachers: Social Science

or

For any other teachers (a) or (b)

Shall focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of these subjects. The test items of Mathematics and Science shall be for 30 marks each. The test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed for classes V-VIII by SCERT, Kerala.
Language I-Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada/English Shall focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction as chosen from the list of prescribed options in the application form.
Language II-(Other than Language I) Malayalam/English The Language II shall be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language from among the available options while submitting the application form. The candidate has to attempt the related language applied for. The test items in Language II shall also focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities.

KTET-III Syllabus

Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude The test items on Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning & Teaching Aptitude will focus on educational psychology, principles, and approaches to teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 13-17. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with the learners, and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
Language: Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada The test items for Language (Malayalam/ English/ Tamil/ Kannada) will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction.
Subject-specific areas (Content & Pedagogy) The test items in subject-specific areas will focus on the pedagogical understanding, concepts, and ideas of the subjects concerned.

KTET-IV Syllabus

Child Development, Pedagogy & Teacher Aptitude Questions will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with the learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
Language: Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada The test item for Language (Malayalam/ English/ Tamil/ Kannada) will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction.
Subjects specific paper (Content & Pedagogy) The test items in subject-specific areas will focus on the pedagogical understanding, concepts and problem-solving abilities in these subjects.

The test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed for classes I-VIII by SCERT Kerala. Kerala TET Admit Card 2020

On 31st December 2020, the Kerala TET Admit Card has issued to the candidates and those have successfully submitted their Application Form.

They can download the admit card online mode by visiting the official website of the Commissioner for Government Examinations. The applicants can download the admit card by submitting the required details.

KTET 2020 Answer Key

The Answer Key of KTET will be published on the official website of the Kerala Government Education Board.

KTET 2020 Selection Procedure

Participants’ selection process will be done based on the performance of the KTET Entrance Exam conducted by the Kerala State Government. Participants will be shortlisted by marks scored in the Entrance Exam. Participants also have to go for Final Round Personal Interview
