- 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education must be completed by the NCTE (National Council of Technical Education) Rules and Regulation, 2002 by the applicant.
- 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) course from a recognized university must have been completed by the applicant.
- Those applicants who have completed 2 years of Diploma in special education are also eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Category II)
- Sc. / B. Com / BA along with a 2-year of Diploma in Elementary Education / Teachers Training Certificate held by the Kerala Board of Education or equivalent must be completed by the applicant from a recognized board or university.
- 1 year of B. Ed must be completed by the NCTE (National Council of Technical Education) Rules and Regulation, 2002 by the applicant.
- 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) course must have been completed by the applicant from a recognized university.
- Those applicants who have completed B. Sc. B. Ed or BA B. Ed Course are also eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualification High School teachers (Category III)
- Sc. / B. Com / BA / B. Ed. degree or equivalent must be completed by the applicant from a recognized board or university in the respective subject.
- The applicants who have completed an M. Sc. Ed degree in any one of the subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Botany, and Zoology from the Regional Institute of Education that is sponsored by the NCERT are also eligible to apply for the eligibility test.
- The applicants who have cleared LTTC are also eligible to apply.
- Minimum Marks: For the eligibility test, only those applicants who have secured more than 50 % marks in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply.
KTET 2023 Exam Pattern
