The Gujarat State Eligibility Test is shortly known as GSET and this test is conducted by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara.

This exam is organised annually to provide a post to the candidates as Assistant Professor/Lectureship in the University/affiliated college of Gujarat State. Interested and eligible candidates apply in the GSET examination to get appointed as Assistant Professor/ Lectureship.

GSET Result 2024

The Gujarat State Eligibility Test Result will be declared on 3rd week of January 2024 on the official web page of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara and those applicants who have taken this examination can check their results online mode.

To check the result, candidates are required to enter their registration number and DOB on the login page. The merit list will be published on the webpage in PDF format after the declaration of the result. Applicants need to keep safe the result for future use.

Following are the simple procedure mentioned below for the applicants and those who have taken the GSET examination and waiting to know their results, they need to follow this procedure as

• First of all, applicants must have to go on the official webpage of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara.
• The result declaration notification will be provided to the candidates and they have to click on it.
• After clicking on the link, the login page will display to them and in the required field, they have to enter their registration number and DOB.
• GSET Results will display to the candidates after submitting these required details and they can check their results.
• The applicants have to take a printout of the result for future use.

GSET 2024 Qualifying Criteria

Applicants will be qualified to be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor through this qualifying criterion mentioned below.

• The qualified candidates should be in the top 15% of the subject and category-wise merit list and there should be a 6% number of the candidates to be qualified.
• There will be a reservation policy of the Government of Gujarat to get slots for the different category candidates.
• Applicants must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC, ST, SEBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer), PWD(PH/VH) and Transgender.
• The qualified applicants will have to be present at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara with a printout of the online Application Form, Original Hall Ticket, and other certificates for document verification.
