JEE MainJEE Main 2024 Session-I Exam will be held from February 2024. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

JEE Main 2024 Exam pattern has been announced, and according to the NTA, Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted in two shifts per day. According to the latest notification released by NTA, Paper 1 will be Computer Based Test (CBT), and Paper 2 will be Partially CBT Based (Mathematics and Aptitude Test) and Partly Pen Paper Based (Drawing Section).

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2024 Examination will be organized in February 2024 for Session-I and April 2024 for Session II. The number of attempts that a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) is limited to 03 (three).

JEE 2024 Marking Scheme

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of India’s most prestigious engineering entrance examinations. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), JEE serves as the gateway for admission into various undergraduate engineering programs in prestigious institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other renowned engineering colleges across the country.

The JEE 2024 will follow a well-defined marking scheme that determines how the scores of the candidates are calculated. The marking scheme plays a crucial role in assessing the performance of the candidates and allocating ranks based on their scores.

The JEE 2024 will consist of two papers: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The JEE Main will be conducted twice a year, in January and April, while the JEE Advanced will be held for the top qualifying candidates of JEE Main.

In the JEE Main examination, each question carries four marks for the correct answer, and there is a negative marking for incorrect answers. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. However, no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions or questions marked for review.

The JEE Advanced examination follows a similar marking scheme, but the questions’ difficulty level is usually higher than JEE Main.

JEE Main 2024 B.E/ B.Tech Marking Scheme

The JEE Main 2024 B.E/B.Tech paper follows a marking scheme of +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer, while no marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

JEE Main 2024 B.Arch Marking Scheme

The JEE Main 2024 B.Arch exam follows a marking scheme where each correct answer awards +4 marks, while each incorrect answer results in a deduction of -1 mark. Unanswered questions do not receive any marks.

JEE Main 2024 B.Planning Marking Scheme

The JEE Main 2023 B. Planning exam follows a marking scheme where each correct answer carries four marks, while for every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. Unanswered questions do not receive any positive or negative marks.

Choice of Medium of Question Papers

The medium of the Question Paper shall be English, Hindi, and Gujarati. The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form, and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
