Karnataka TET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5) | The minimum qualification needed for the Primary Teachers is Intermediate (Class 12) with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Applicants must pass Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI. Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with at least 45 – 50% of marks. Applicants who are in the final-year of D.EI.Ed/ Bachelor of Elementary Education is also eligible to apply for Karnataka TET. |
Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8) | The minimum qualification needed for Upper Primary Teachers is a Bachelor’s degree (B. A/ B.Sc./ B. Com/ B. Tech/ BBA etc.,) with a minimum of 45% – 50% marks. The applicant must pass a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ B.Ed are also eligible to appear for Karnataka TET. |
The minimum age of the candidates should be 18 years and the maximum age limit should be 35 to 40 years. There is upper age limit relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.
Karnataka TET Exam Pattern 2021
Karnataka TET exam is consisting of Paper I and Paper-II. Those who have applied in this examination; must have to go with Exam Pattern for the better preparation of examination.
- Mode of Exam: The Exam will be done through Offline mode.
- Duration of Exam: The Exam will be off 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes).
- Types of Exam: All the Questions in KAR TET Test will be Multiple Choice Format (MCQs).
- Number of Questions: The total number of Questions is 150 in this Exam.
- Total Marks: The Exam paper will be Carried into 150 marks.
