NID 2022 Counselling – Complete Schedule & Admission Procedure
NID Admission 2022 Counseling will be started in March 2022. NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) is the entrance exam to enter the NID (National Institute of Design) and its affiliated universities.
It is a national entrance examination through which candidates can obtain admission to B.Des, M.Des, and GDPD courses (Graduate Diploma Program in Design).
Candidates must appear in DAT Prelims and Mains to obtain admission to design institutions. In this article, we have mentioned the complete NID 2022 admission procedure.
NID 2022 Admission Procedure
NID 2022 M. Des Counseling for Seat Allotments will be Released in June 2022. The advice will be done via online mode. The NID will prepare the categorization list based on the total sum of the weighted score obtained by the candidate at each admission step.
To obtain admission to design courses, applicants must go through three admission stages that are written DAT test, a study test, and a personal interview.
Candidates will be called for these rounds based on their performance at the DAT Prelims Entrance Exam. Only candidates who appear for all stages of admission will be considered eligible for the merit list.
NID Cut Off 2022 will be released through online mode after the declaration of the result. According to the given schedule, candidates must download the document online for verification of the document.
For candidates whose documents are false, their admission will be canceled by the admitting authority at a later stage. On the basis of the criteria and outline of the DAT (study and interview), the final merit list will be established on the basis of which the candidates will be shortlisted to present the university’s preference.

The NID admission procedure will be followed by the steps given below:
Login:
- Based on the availability of seats, candidates in order of merit will qualify to give their consent for the various stages of the admissions process.
- Candidates have to log in on the official website to fill in and submit the preferences.
Submit Preference:
- Candidates who will appear in the both DAT-Prelims and DAT-Mains exam will be only eligible to fill preference.
- After the submission of preferences by the candidate, they will be asked to confirm the preferences provided by the candidate.
- Once the preference will be submitted, it cannot be changed at a later stage.
View Result:
- Candidates can view their results only after confirming and submitting their preferences.
- The category-wise seats will be allotted to candidates in order of merit and based on the preference submitted by them.
