OSSTET Application Form 2021

The OSSTET Application Form has been available on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education Odisha from the 12th November till the 20th November 2021. On the basis of Eligibility Criteria, candidates can fill the Application Form by following the procedure mentioned below.

  • The exam conducting authorities will release the OSSTET 2021 Application Form on the official website of the board that is www. BSE Odisha.ac.in
  • Along with the OSSTET 2021 Application Form the official authorities of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will also release all the important information and instructions on the official website itself for the reference of the applicant.
  • The applicants must read all the important instructions carefully before filling the OSSTET 2021 Application Form.
  • The applicants must also meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam.
  • After that, the applicants will have to register online on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
  • To register on the official website, the applicants will have to click on the new registration tab which is available on the homepage of the website.
  • After that, the applicants will have to complete the registration process by entering necessary details such as name and date of birth email id, contact number.
  • At the time of registration, the applicants must provide all the details carefully as the official authorities will verify the same and use the information provided by the applicants for providing the login credentials.
  • The applicants who have completed the registration process will receive a valid user id and password on their registered email id and phone number.
  • The applicants will have to use their user id and password to login to the official website again.

OSSTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

There are the Eligibility Criteria of both categories provided for the candidates and those applicants are going to apply in this test, they have to check their Eligibility Criteria, which are provided below.

  • Nationality: For the entrance exam, only the citizen of India is eligible to apply.
  • Age limit: One must be more than 20 years of age at the time of the entrance exam to apply.
  • Domicile: For the entrance exam, only those applicants are eligible to apply who belong to the state of Odisha or who hold a valid domicile certificate of Odisha state at the time of entrance exam.
  • Minimum Marks: For the entrance exam, only those applicants who are eligible to apply have secured a minimum of 50 % marks or more in the qualifying exam.
  • Appearing applicants: The applicants of the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam

Educational Qualification for Category – A (Paper I)

  • One muse has completed HSC exams that is Senior Secondary exam or any equivalent exam from a recognized state board of education.
  • One must have completed or must be appearing for 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education that is D. El. Ed. Course from a recognized institution or university by the NCTE (National Council for Teachers Education).
  • Those applicants who have completed a 4 year of Bachelors of Elementary Education that is B. El. Ed. from a recognized university or institution are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • However, those applicants who have completed a 2 year of Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized university along with Graduation are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • The applicants must have completed a Bachelor in Education that is B. Ed. course by the NCTE (National Council for Teachers Education) to apply for the entrance exam.

Educational Qualification for Category – B (Paper-II)

  • The applicants must have completed a Graduation or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Those applicants who have completed a 1 year of Bachelor in Education course that is B. Ed. from a recognized institution or by the NCTE (National Council for Teachers Education) are also eligible to apply.
  • The applicants who have completed 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institution along with Graduation are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • The applicants who have completed 1 year of B. Ed. (Bachelor in Education) (Special Education) or 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) from a recognized institution are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • The applicants who have completed HSC exams along with 4 years of BA / B. Sc., Ed. or BA. Ed. / B. Sc. Ed from a recognized university or institution are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

OSSTET Exam Pattern 2021

The OSSTET Exam is divided into Paper – I and Paper-II. Paper – I exam is conducted for TGT Arts, Science, Classical/ Language Teachers while Paper – II is conducted for PET teachers.

  • Mode of Exam: Pen and Paper-based offline entrance exams will be conducted by the official authorities.
  • Mode of Answer: The applicants will have to answer the entrance exam in OMR sheets using a black or blue ball pen only.
  • Duration of Exam:150 minutes in total will be provided to the applicants to solve the entire question paper of the entrance exam.
  • Total Number of Questions: The applicants will have to answer a maximum of 150 questions in the question paper of the entrance exam.
  • Total Marks: The applicants will have to answer a maximum of 150 marks question paper in the entrance exam.
  • Type of Questions: The applicants will have to answer objective type multiple choice questions only in the question paper of the entrance exam.
  • Marking Scheme: The applicants will get 1 mark for each correct answer given in the entrance exam.
  • Negative Marking: Incorrect answers will not deduct any negative markings in the entrance exam.

To obtain qualified marks in the examination, candidates should have to follow the preparation tips mentioned below.
