Sikkim University 2023 Admission has been done through NTA CUET 2023. Sikkim University is a core university founding of 2006, which is located on Gangtok. All the colleges in the state of Sikkim are affiliated with this university. The university gives educational courses through different departments viz. Dept. of Social System and Anthropology, Dept. of Peace and Conflict Studies and Management, Dept. of International Relations/ Politics, and Department of Microbiology.

Sikkim University is also offering traditional courses in humanities, physical and life sciences, and forestry together with the non-traditional courses that would be single and related to the state comprising subjects, for instance, ethnic history, crag studies, limit studies & hill music, and culture. The Department of Political Science embarks on a Certificate Course in Human Rights and Duties from the academic session 2023.

This is a six months course. Classes will be held on Even Semester starting from February to May. Graduate students who have 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) and continuing the Master’s Degree in Sikkim University are eligible to apply for the course. The choice will be based on merit.

The candidate must fill up the Admission Form online and pay Rs. 700/- common and Rs. 350/- for ST/SC/OBC/PWD on the way towards payment of the cost of admission form and CAT Fee through online payment gateways or bank challan at any branch of State Bank of India

Sikkim University 2023 Result

Admission to the UG and PG courses will be made on the basis of qualifying degree merit or marks obtained by the applicant in the entrance test.

The final selection of students to M.Phil and Ph.D. programs are done depending on their performance in the university entrance test and interview.

The university follows the semester system for all its courses viz. Odd and Even semester. End semester examinations for the different UG, PG & Research programs are being conducted in different months for odd semester and even semesters.

Results for the same are usually uploaded to the official university website within several weeks from the examinations.

  • Undergraduate  Programs: Minimum 45% marks in class 12.
  • Postgraduate Programs: A graduation degree with min. 50% marks by a well-recognized university. For MBA, CATS, and MAT scores are considered followed by personal interviews and group discussions.
  • Doctoral Programs (Ph.D. & M.Phil.): For doing this, you have to appear for the written test and interview carried out by Sikkim University.

Step 1:

  • Fill out an application available on the website of the college.
  • Pay the application fee (INR 1000 for General/ OBC and INR 500 for SC/ ST/ PwD) through the online mode (Debit/ Credit Card).

Step 2:

  • Qualify Central Admission Test (CAT) with 50%.
  • The shortlisting will be made on the basis of marks secured in the test.

Documents Required:

  • Original Mark-sheet (s) of all examinations / all years with one self-attested photocopy (both sides) of each.
  • Original certificate of proof of age and a self-attested copy of the same.
  • Original SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificates together with one self-attested copy.
