Assam University 2022 Application Form has been Released on 6th April 2022 for UG Courses. Assam University is a Central University located in Silchar, Assam, and was established in the year 1994. Admission to certain courses will be based on Entrance Exams conducted by Assam University while for most of them, scores obtained in external Entrance Exams will be considered.

The University is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). Assam University offers various UG, Integrated, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, M.Phil. And Ph.D. courses. Assam University is a teaching-cum-affiliating Central University. The main campus is located at Dargakona, near Irongmara about 20 km from Silchar, while a second campus of the university is at Diphu, in the East Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

The university has sixteen schools that offer Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Information Sciences, Technology, and Management Studies. There are 35 departments under these sixteen schools.

Assam University 2022 Application Form has been Released on 6th April 2022 for UG Courses. Candidates are requested to go through the website to get the notification related to admission.

Application for which the candidates have already obtained a degree of Masters from the University of Assam or any other university.

Admission in any allied subject may be considered if there is a vacancy after verifying the candidates are eligible.

• The E-Challan can be deposited in any branch of the State Bank of India.

Assam University Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Assam University is given below (Defers from course to course)

• Nationality: Applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
• Residential Eligibility: The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam (min 20 yrs).
• Age Criteria: The age of the applicant will lie between 17 to 24 years as of 31st December 2022.
• Relaxation: There is a relaxation in age for reserved categories

The children of officers of all India services working in the state of Assam are exempted from the above condition.

• For officer’s children, it is necessary to study 7th class to 12th class from the Assam board.
• If the applicant’s parents are transferred out of Assam, then they can get relaxation in the period for which their parents were living outside.

• Duration of Exam: Applicants will get 2 hours to solve each paper.
• Number of Questions: There will be 100 questions.
• Type of Question: The question paper is prepared according to multiple-choice questions.

Admit card is also known as Hall ticket and will be released on the official portal. Applicants will be able to download the Admit card through online mode only.

Assam University 2022 Counselling

University has adopted multiple methods for the selection of applicants in multiple courses. The selection will be made based on the merit list, through entrance tests, and from personal interviews decided by the university regularly.

The list of the selected applicants will be put on the notice board of the department. None of the applicants will be intimated individually. Applicants will also be called for the interview on the prescribed date and venue by the head of the department.
