The CUCET 2020 curriculum will be prescribed by the authority responsible for the examination. CUCET is a national entrance examination. The common entrance examination of the central universities (CUCET) is organized by rotating the ten central universities. Offers admission to the various UG/Integrated, PG & Research programs. These courses are offered by the 10 central universities. In this article, we mention all the details about the CUCET 2020 program.

This examination is conducted in many of the states in which 10 central universities are providing admission for candidates as per their eligibility and those candidates have given the GATE examination, they don’t need to appear for this examination because they will get direct admission in central universities. CUCET 2020 Syllabus

The aspirants of the CUCET will give this entrance examination to get admission in the central universities, so they have to be prepared for this examination by picking the syllabus of particular courses, what they have chosen. Physics Syllabus:

Measurement, Movement in one dimension, Laws of movement, Movement in two dimensions, Work, Energy and Energy, Linear moment and collisions, Rotation of a rigid body around a fixed axis, Gravitation, Oscillatory movement, Mechanics of solids and fluids, heat and thermodynamics, wave, electrostatic, electric current, magnetic effect of current, matter, electromagnetic induction, lightning optics and optical instruments, wave optics and modern physics.

Chemistry Syllabus:

Atomic structure, chemical bonding, redox reactions, chemical and kinetic equilibrium, concepts of acid bases, electrochemistry, catalysis, colloids, colligative properties of the solution, periodic table, preparation and properties, thermochemistry, general organic chemistry, reaction intermediates, isomerism, Polymers, Carbohydrates, preparation and properties, solid-state and oil,

Mathematics Syllabus:

Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamics and Static.

Biology Syllabus:

Zoology: Origin of life, Organic evolution, Mechanism of organic evolution, Human genetics and eugenics, Applied biology, Anatomy of mammals (for example, Rabbit), Animal physiology and Comparison between Periplaneta and Blatta.

Botany: plant cell, protoplasm, ecology, ecosystem, genetics, seeds in angiosperm plants, fruits, cell differentiation, plant tissue, root anatomy, stem and leaf, important phyla, soil, and photosynthesis.

For Integrated MA/BBA/ Integrated BA LLB (Hons)/ Integrated M.Sc./ B.Voc/ Diploma Courses:

There will be only one test paper for these courses. The syllabus will be comprised of English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, General Knowledge subjects/topics.

General Principles of Contracts, Constitution, Law of Torts, Family Law-Hindu Law, Criminal Law-Indian Penal Law, Contract-II, Company Law, Property Law, Administrative Law, Family Law-II: Mohammedan Law and Indian Succession Act, Environmental Law, Labour Law, Criminal Law-II, Jurisprudence, Public International Law, Human Rights Law and Practice, Right to Information, Banking Law, Insurance Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution Systems, Civil Procedure Code and Limitation Act, Intellectual Property Rights-I, Penology & Victimology, Law relating to International Trade, Women and Criminal law & Law Relating to Child, White Collar Crimes (Privileged Class Deviance), intellectual Property Rights-II, Taxation, Law of Evidence, Competition Law and Interpretation of Statutes  & Principles of Legislation.

For MBA Course:

For the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Course:

Basic Mathematics: Set theory, Algebra, and linear algebra, Real and complex analysis, Combinatorics and Probability and statistics.

Digital Logic: Switching theory, Combinational logic circuits, and Sequential m/c model.

Basics of Programming: The candidate should be familiar with the basic concepts of programming and should be able to write programs involving the concepts in any one of the languages: C, C++ or Java.

CUCET 2020 Exam Pattern

The CUCET 2020 Exam Pattern is very helpful for candidates to understand the pattern or structure of the examination and it is a good way for the better preparation of CUCET. In the exam pattern, the information comprises such as the number of questions, duration of exam, total questions, marking scheme, exam type, and language of the question paper, etc. So with this help, candidates will able to understand the pattern of examination.

CUCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc. Mathematics

Bachelor’s degree in Science with Mathematics as the main subject with 55% marks [50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD] in aggregate from a recognized Indian or foreign University.

B.Sc. Chemistry

Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Sciences with 55% marks [50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD] and Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized Indian or foreign University.

B.Sc. Physics

Bachelor’s degree in Science with 55% marks [50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD] in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as the main subject from recognized Indian or foreign University.

B.Sc. Mathematics

Bachelor’s degree in Science with Mathematics as the main subject with 55% marks [50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD] in aggregate from a recognized Indian or foreign University.

B.Sc. Statistics

Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as the main subject with 55% marks [50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD] in aggregate from a recognized Indian or foreign University.

M.Tech. Computer Science & Technology

B.Tech. / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Communication from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/ Graduates [AMIETE/AMIE] from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers [IETE] in Computer Science & Engineering with minimum 55% marks.   • The CUCET Exam Pattern contains two parts- Part A & Part B
  • Part A: English Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, and analytical skills – comprising of 25 MCQs
  • Part B: Domain Knowledge – comprising of 75 MCQs. This part may consist of one/two/three or more sections. Each section can have 25 or more questions. An applicant is required to answer a set of ‘X’ sections [75 questions] as specified on the front cover of the Test Question Booklet. However, he must ensure that he fills right circles in the OMR Sheet corresponding to the question numbers attended.
  • For Admission to some Integrated Courses / B.Voc. / MBA / MCA / LLB or any other general course[s], only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/ numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills will be held.
  • Each paper will be only of Two Hours Duration
  • There will be negative marking in CUCET. Each correct answer will carry 01 marks and for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Questions not attempted will not be assessed and hence will not be considered for preparing a final merit list
