FMGE 2020 Application FormFMGE 2019 December Session Exam Dates has been Released, Exam will be conducted on 20th December 2019. FMGE is referred to as a Foreign Medical Graduate Screening Exam, and it is a national level entrance exam. FMGE 2020 exam is conducted two times in one year, i.e., in June and December.

This exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This exam allows the Indian nationals with foreign medical qualifications to practice in India.

FMGE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who will fulfill the complete eligibility criteria given by the FMGE will only be considered to sit in the exam.

  • A candidate should be the citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Candidates must have the primary medical qualification which is approved by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in India.
  • The cut-off date for obtaining the Primary Medical Qualification is on or before the last week of May 2020.
  • It is mandatory to provide proof/documentary evidence in support of the candidate having passed the final examination on or before the cut-off date.
  • Candidates who hold an Under Graduate medical qualification from Australia/ Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and seeking for provisional or permanent registration are exempted to give the screening test.

Candidates will get a provisional or Permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.

Instructions About Eligibility Criteria

  • He / She is a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated.

It is mandatory to provide proof/documentary evidence in support of the candidate having passed the final examination for such a primary medical qualification/posses the primary medical qualification on or before the cut-off date. In the event of the date of issue of result/proof of primary medical qualification being after the prescribed cut-off date, the application form shall be rejected and the candidate declared as ineligible.

The candidate seeking provisional or permanent registration shall not have to qualify the Screening Test if he/she holds an Under Graduate medical qualification from

  •  Australia/
  • Canada/
  • New Zealand/
  • The United Kingdom/
  • The United States of America and the holder thereof has also been awarded a Post Graduate medical qualification in Australia/Canada/ New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America and has been recognized for enrollment as a medical practitioner in that country.

Applicants/Candidates may also refer to Screening Test Regulations and Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, Eligibility Certificate Regulations issued by Medical Council of India.
