NIMCET 2023  Syllabus will be composed of various subjects: mathematics, general English, computer awareness and analytical skills, and logical reasoning. The authority will publish the syllabus with the information brochure. This exam will be organized for admission to MCA courses on all NITs. It’s a national exam. Candidates preparing for the NIMCET exam are invited to go through the program to get better grades.

In this article, we have updated all the details regarding NIMCET Syllabus 2023. The NIMCET 2023 program will be notified by the institute responsible for examinations, NIT Surathkal, now. NIMCET 2023 will be held on the 4th week of May 2023 for admissions of the MCA to 805 seats in the National Institutes of Technology.

The national entrance examination will take place offline. Questions will be asked about the topics mentioned in the NIMCET 2023 program published by the Exam body. MATHEMATICS: (50 questions)

Set Theory: Concept Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and indepen­dent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies, and dispersions.

Algebra:

Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear /quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants, and matrices.

Coordinate Geometry:

Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, the equation of a line, and the intersection of lines, the pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.

Calculus: Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of functions by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas.

Vectors:

Position vector, addition, and subtraction of vectors, scalar, and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.

Trigonometry:

Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, the solution of trian­gles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.

Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: (40 questions)

The questions in this section will cover logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage.

COMPUTER AWARENESS: (10 questions)

Computer Basics:

Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), the structure of instruc­tions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and backup devices.

Data Representation:

Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic, and two’s complement arithmetic, floating-point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.

GENERAL ENGLISH: (20 questions)

Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidates’ general understanding of the English language. There will be questions on the following topics:

Comprehension, vocabulary, Basic English Grammar (like usage of correct forms of verbs, prepositions, and articles), word power, synonyms and antonyms, the meaning of words and phrases, technical writing.

NIMCET 2023 Exam Pattern

The NIMCET Exam will take place in the last week of May 2023 via offline mode. The exam will be in English. A total of 120 multiple choice questions will be taken during the exam.

The duration of the exam will be two hours. The questionnaire will have 480 points. For each correct answer, four points will be awarded to the candidates.
