This exam is organized to provide admissions to students in undergraduate professional courses in the field of engineering, agriculture, and medical courses.

Nationality & Domicile:

• Candidates must be a citizen of India.
• Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates should belong to Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state.
• Candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1975 as subsequently amended.

For BE / B.Tech in Engineering, Bio-Technology, B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Ag. Engineering) and for 50% seats in B. Pharmacy, B.Tech (Food Technology (FT)) Courses:

For B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture/ B.Sc. (Forestry) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for the remaining 50% seats in B.Tech. (FT) Courses:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh with any two / three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below: With any two of the subjects:

For B.Pharmacy Courses: (Remaining 50% seats)

For B.Pharmacy Course: (Remaining 50% of the seats):

For Pharm –D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates):

Qualifying Exam 

Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 or any equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as optional subjects or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. OR

• Candidates must have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized equivalent to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or A.P.
• For candidates applying for B.Tech in Food Technology, candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board as  equivalent to the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh with any two or three of the subjects:
• Mathematics
• Physical Sciences

OR

• Physical Sciences
• Biological or Natural Sciences

Qualifying Exam Marks

Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the subjects mentioned above in 10+2 or any equivalent examination (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

Local areas:

• Andhra University (A.U. area) includes the Nagarjuna University area.
• Sri   Venkateswara University (S.V.U. area)  includes the Sri Krishnadevaraya University area.
• Osmania  University (O.U. area) includes the Kakatiya University area.

Non Local areas: 

• Candidates not meeting the above criteria will be considered as non-locals.
• Candidate belonging to PIO / OCI category will be considered as under the nonlocal category only.

A candidate will be regarded as a local candidate about a local area (AU/ OU/ SVU) in the following cases:

• If he or she has studied in an educational institution or institutions in such local area for a period of four or more consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.
• During the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he or she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he or she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he or she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.
•  If he or she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate about
•  Local area where he or she studied for the maximum period out of a period of seven years.

OR

• Where the period of his or her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.
• If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
• Such a local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years.

OR

• Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal to such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.
• Candidates belonging to the PIO/ OCI category will be considered as under the nonlocal category only.
• Candidates coming under any of the categories given below will be treated as ‘Non-Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.
• Candidates who have resided in the state of T.S./ A.P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.

OR

• Candidates either of whose parents have resided in this state for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the periods of employment outside the state

OR

• Candidates either of whose parents are employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

OR

• Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.
