CTET 2023: Answer Key (Out), Result, Selection Procedure

CTETCTET July Session 2023 Result has been Declared on 25th September 2023. CTET 2023 exam is held in December 2023 to enable candidates to fetch the CTET Eligibility Certificate 2023. CTET is the national-level entrance test that is organized twice a year. Two sessions are conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of secondary education). The CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test will help the candidates to be eligible for recruited as Teachers to teach in Government Schools/ Added Schools/ Private Institutions and Schools across the country.

The applicants appointed as a teacher in various government schools will be able to teach students of classes 1st to 8th in central government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and other prestigious schools. The applicants can apply for the CTET 2023 entrance exam twice a year, in July 2023 or December 2023. The CTET 2023 entrance exam will be conducted at the national level.

Application Fee of CTET

CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants who want to apply for the entrance exam are requested to go through the details we have provided below regarding the CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria.

The Primary stage is termed for the Class First to the Class Fifth. The Elementary stage is termed for the class sixth to class eight.

  • Nationality: Only the citizen of India is eligible to apply for the entrance exam organized by the CBSE.

For Primary Stages:

Qualification:

  • Senior Secondary: Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent education with a minimum of 50% Marks in the qualifying examinations or candidate appeared in the two years of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)from any government-recognized Board/ Body/ Institution.
  • NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure): Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent education with a minimum of 45% Marks in the qualifying examinations or candidate appeared in the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). from any government-recognized Board/ Body/ Institution following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • (B.EI.Ed): Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent education with a minimum of 50% Marks in the qualifying examinations or candidate appeared in the four years of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from any government-recognized Board/ Body/ Institution.
  • Diploma in Education (Special Education): Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent education with a minimum of 50% Marks in the qualifying examinations or candidate appeared in the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). from any government-recognized Board/ Body/ Institution.
  • Graduation: The candidates must have passed the Graduation with a minimum of 50% and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Note: Any candidate with a qualified Bachelor of Education from any NCTE-recognized institution will be considered a teacher from the class I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher.

The candidate shall mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

For the Elementary stage:

Qualification:

  • Graduation: Passed or Appeared in the final year of graduation with a minimum of 50% Marks are eligible for the CTET 2023 Entrance test.
  • (D.El.Ed.): Candidate completed Two Years (D.El.Ed.) A diploma in Elementary Education is eligible for the CTET 2023.
  • (B. Ed): Appeared in the first year of the 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure): Passed Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks or appearing in the 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • 4-year (B.EI.Ed): Candidates who have passed their 12th Class with a minimum of 50% marks and completed or appeared in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • (Special Education) *: Candidates who have passed the graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or appear in the 1it’sr B.Ed. in special education are eligible for the CTET 2023 entrance test.

Note: Those candidates with qualified B.Ed from any recognized NCTE are eligible for the CTET/ TET.

  • Relaxations in Marks: 5% will be relaxation for candidates from the SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled / Reserved category.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the CTET 2023 Entrance test.
  • The number of attempts: There are no attempt limits.

CTET 2023 Exam Pattern:

Here we are mentioning the details of the CTET 2023 Exam Pattern.  The Exam Pattern must be known by candidates appearing for the CTET 2023.

There CBSE has given different exam patterns for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Those who wish to teach Class 1 to Class 5thhas to appear for paper 1. Those candidates who wish to teach from class 6th to class 8th must have to paper for Paper 2 of the elementary stage.

Those who wish to teach both sections have to appear for both papers.

For Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage:

  • Qualifying Marks: The candidates who will secure 60% Marks or above will be considered qualified for the CTET Entrance test.
  • Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted through offline mode.
  • Duration of the exam: The question paper will be 2 hours and 30 Minutes.
  • The number of questions: The question paper will be 150 Questions.
  • Types of Questions: The questions will be asked in the multiple-choice format (MCQs).
  • Marking Scheme: +1 one mark will be allotted for each correct question.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be 150 Marks.
  • Sections: There will be a total of 5 sections.

CTET 2023 Result

The CTET 2023 Result will be released on 3rd March 2023 through online mode. The candidates who have participated and given the entrance test will be able to check the CTET 2023 Result.

The CTET 2023 Result will be declared on the official website. The candidates can check the CTET 2023 Result by entering their Registration number and Password.

CTET December Session 2023 Results will be Declared on the 3rd week of February 2023. The CTET 2023 Result will not be sent to the candidates through offline mode.

The authority will publish the CTET 2023 Results in pdf format. The students can check the CTET 2023 Result, and those who will secure a minimum of 60% will be considered CTET Qualified.

CTET 2023 Cut-Off

The candidates will be able to check the CTET Cut-Off after the duration of the result. The CTET Cut-Off for General Candidates is 60% marks, and those will get the eligibility certificate from the authority.

  • School managements (Government, local bodies, government-aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc., following their extant reservation policy.
  • Should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process; however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

The validity of the CTET Certificate

The CTET certificate will be valid for 7 Years from the date of issue of the CTET Certificate. Those candidates who have qualified for the CTET entrance test can reaper for the CTET again the improvement of their marks.
