AILET Full Form

The complete form of AILET is the All India Law Entrance Test, and through this examination, the National Law University provides admission into B.A.LL.B (Hons.), LL.M, and PhD. Degree Programs to the candidates.

The AILET is the national-level entrance examination, and it is conducted once a year.

In the 1^st week of January, candidates will get all notifications and instructions of the AILET on the official website of the National Law University.

AILET Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form for AILET and the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

For B.A, LL.B. (Hons) Five-Year Programs

• Candidates should be qualified in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in any discipline with 50% marks.
• Those candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April 2024 can also apply.
• The age of the candidates should be below 20 years as of 1 July 2024 (23 years in the case of SC/ST candidates).
• Class 12th-appearing candidates are also allowed to apply for the exam.

For LLM Programs

• The candidates must complete an LL.B. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability).
• The candidates appearing in the final LL.B. examination in April/May 2024 can also apply.
• Candidates appearing in the final year exam of LL.B are also eligible to register for AILET 2024 exam.
• The 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals available in LLM programs

For Ph.D. Programs

Those will have the LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or it’s equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability) only will be eligible for the examination.
