WB D.El.Ed stands for West Bengal Diploma in Elementary Education & it is conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. Candidates who are eligible as per NCTE norms for a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education can apply for the exam.

Candidates can apply for the Regular & Face to face mode recognized by the NCTW affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. This test is for the post of primary teachers in the state. Candidate must have passed HSC or its equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% marks.

• Candidates with the reserved category will be given 5% relaxation.
• The candidate must be Indian.
• The candidate must not be more than 35 years of age.
• Candidates with reserved will get 5 years of relaxation.

Applicant selection is mainly based on the merit list. Applicant’s merit list will be based on their 10+2+3 marks. Applicant’s merit list rank will be issued by the authority (district wise). The applicant’s seat allotment will be done via the counseling procedure.

Migration

Migration can be considered at the sole discretion of the Director SCERT. Admitted candidates from one DIET to another DIET under rare compassionate/ deserving circumstances at the initial stage in the first year only. No migration from one private college to another college will be considered by the affiliating authority.

False Documents

The admission of any candidate found to have obtained based on false, forged, fabricated, or tampered document shall be liable to be canceled at any stage, besides registering a criminal case against him/her and barring him/her for re-admission in DIET for a period of three years. In case of any dispute, the final decision will be taken by the DIET Directors.
