New Changes Introduced Last Year

On the proposal of Union Health Ministry, MCI approved several changes in the NEET UG entrance exam. Below we have listed the new changes introduced last year:

  • Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined 15% All India Quota scheme. Candidates of these states need not submit Self Declaration form now.
  • Aadhaar Card is also not compulsory to fill the NEET Application. But, candidates have to require any ID proof to apply for the exam.
  • Indian candidates those wish to pursue MBBS/BDS in foreign nationals, they have to qualify NEET UG exam.
  • The attempt limit has been removed from the last year. Now, candidates may attempt the NEET until the age limit as per their categories.
  • NIOS or State Open School or private candidates’ are not eligible for NEET exam.
  • There will be one set for question paper in all languages.
  • As per officials, the exam will be bilingual (except language chosen in English).

NEET Application Form 2020

NEET Application form will be released in the first week of January, and the Last date for filling the application will be 4th week of January. The applicants who are interested in NEET 2020 can apply for the examination before the last date of application.

NEET is the gateway to offer admission to deserving applicants in MBBS and BDS courses at the best colleges of India.

Apply before the due date if candidates submit after the due dates, an application will not be accepted. Application form can be filled through online, official portal. Fill all detail as in given format. And also upload scanned images of photograph, signature.

  • The application form will be issued only in online mode.
  • Applications will not be addressed in offline mode.
  • The registration of NEET UG 2020 will start from the first week of February 2020.
  • Applicants must download the scanned images of the photograph and recent signature of the size of the passport.
  • After completing the application form, a confirmation page will be generated. Download it
  • It will not be necessary to send the printed confirmation page to the board.
  • Visit the official website of NEET.
  • Fill all the necessary details like personal, contact, domicile, qualification, etc.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and index finger impression in the prescribed format.
  • Make the fee payment using online and offline mode.
  • After the fee payment, take the printout of the confirmation page of the application form and keep it safe for further use.

NEET UG Application Correction: 

One-time opportunity will be provided by the board to make a correction in the applications. Details regarding correction in the application are mentioned below:

  • Corrections can be done only through online mode.
  • Correction facility will be provided in the third week of March 2020.
  • Candidates will be intimated through e-mail/SMS regarding correction in photo photograph and signature. The same will be available in the candidate‟s login account.

Candidates can also make corrections in particular fields like:

  • Date of birth
  • Identification Identity
  • Gender
  • The state code of eligibility
  • Category
  • The medium of the exam paper
  • Disability status
  • Examination Center
  • Qualifying Examination Code & Percentage (%) of Marks Obtained in Class 12th
  • Parents Name (Father’s & Mother’s)
  • In case of any additional fee, candidates can pay through debit/credit it card and net banking.

NEET Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidates should be an Indian Nationals or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).
  • Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar card is mandatory for all candidates except belonging to Assam, J&K and Meghalaya state.
  1. J&K, Assam & Meghalaya candidates can also apply by providing their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Government ID number.
  2. NRI candidates can apply by Adhaar Card number or Passport Number.
  3. PIO, OCI & Foreign nationals candidates can apply by Passport Number.
  • Age Limit:
    – The minimum age limit is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission.

    Maximum – The maximum age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved categories.
  • Attempts: Candidates may attempt the exam only three times until cross the maximum age limit. NEET will be counted as 1 Attempt for all the candidates.
  • Qualification: Students must have passed/appearing 12thor equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English.

Qualification Eligibility: 

qualifying examStudents must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam.
Appearing CandidatesStudents appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.
SubjectsIn the qualifying exam, students should have physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology with English as the compulsory subject.
percentage criteriaMinimum 50% marks for general, 45% marks for PH and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates in the PCB group.
  • Percentage Criteria: students must have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45% (for general PH) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC categories).

NEET 2020  Exam Pattern

  • Courses: It is held for MBBS/BDS courses.
  • Number of Questions: The question paper contained a total of 180 multiple choice questions with a single correct answer.
  • Subjects: The paper was asked from subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany.
  • Language: The question paper was available in 10 languages.
  • Mode of Exam: The exam was conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based mode).
  • Duration: The exam duration was 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme:4 marks are awarded for each correct response.
  • Negative Marking:1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer as negative

How to Prepare for NEET UG 2020

Good preparation for the NEET UG exam will help students achieve a good rank in the exam. Candidates can follow the NEET 2020 preparation tips listed below:

NEET 2020  Admit Card

NEET Admit card contains details like Name, Roll Number, Date Of Birth, Centre, And Address, etc. of candidates. If candidates fail to bring Hall ticket at the time of exams candidates will not allow attaining exams in centers.

  • After submitting the application form, candidates start searching the admit card. Admit card will be issued in the second week of March 2020.
  • Authority will release the admit card through online mode.
  • Admit card will contain the exam schedule, exam center details, candidate’s roll number, etc.

NEET UG Answer Key 2020

The response key will be published with the OMR responses through the online mode. The NEET 2020 key will be released the week after the exam.

The board will offer the possibility to challenge the answer key. Applicants must pay Rs. 1000 / – by the response to challenge the answer key.

Applicants should visit their login portal. Enter your user ID (registration number) and password to challenge the answer key.

NEET 2020  Result 2020

The NEET result will be published on the official portal of authority. Candidates can download their effect from 1st week of June. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and other required details on the website.

  • NEET 2020 result will be displayed on the notice board of concerned faculty/college/center/proctor’s office/controller’s website.
  • It is expected that the result will be announced in May/June 2020.

NEET UG 2020 Rank List:

  • The Board will prepare a list of merits as indicated by DGHS, MCI, and DCI.
  • The merit list will be prepared for the 15% All India fee.
  • Students will be invited to receive counseling according to their classification on the NEET UG exam.

NEET Cut Off 2020

Candidates have to secure marks more than cut off to qualify the examination. Candidates can check details about NEET 2020 cut off from below:

  • The cut will be published in online mode.
  • It will be published with the result.
  • The threshold will depend on several factors, such as the number of candidates that have appeared on the exam, the student’s performance, the difficulty level of the exam, etc.

NEET Counselling 2020

  •  NEET Counselling is held for qualifying candidates of NEET, which includes document verification, applying, choice filling and seat allocation in web-based mode. The counseling procedure is done for the qualified candidates of NEET, by their Merit in NEET.
  • It is informed to the students that they should keep safe the Filled in Online Application Form until the process of admission gets over.
  • The admit card and the scorecard must produce by the student when they called for verification of documents.
  • The Information Booklet for NEET 2020 counseling will be released on the counseling portal.
  • The list of colleges for allotment of seats in each course with intake in each discipline and category will also notify by the exam authority.
