PUCET 2020PU CET PG 2021 Result has been declared now. PU CET stands for Panjab University Common Entrance Test. The Punjab University offers a lot of PG courses for which they organize the common entrance test to judge the applicant’s knowledge and then accordingly give them admission in the appropriate courses.

It will be offering admission to various courses such as Law, Management, Engineering, Health & Sciences, Arts & Humanities, etc. Aspirants willing to take admission in the above courses will have to undergo PU CET PG 2021.

The important information and updates in regards to the important events and tentative dates are as per below:

PU CET (PG) 2021 Application Form

PU CET PG 2021 Application Form Correction has been started. Some important information in regards to the PU CET (PG) Application Form and its process including the application fee details are mentioned below:

  • The applicants who are interested in Applying for the PU-CET (PG) need to submit the filled Application Form before the deadline.
  • The applicants have to fill each and every detail in the form and the information should be accurate as mentioned in previous certificates.
  • If the submitted filled forms are found to be missing with some details then it will be considered incomplete forms and will be rejected by the university.
  • The application for this entrance test will be available from the official website for the applicants.
  • The applicants have to fill the Application Form online itself but the submission has to be done offline.

Steps for the Application Form:

  • Applicants have to enter the Official Website of Panjab University.
  • Then they need to click on the ‘Online Application Form
  • Applicants have to fill in all the details in the Application Form.
  • Applicants also have to upload a scanned copy of passport size photo & Signature and the size should be less than 200 kb.
  • Applicants have to pay the application fee and save the confirmation page.
  • The payment confirmation number also should be filled in the application.
  • Then the filled form should be saved and then printed to be sent to the university address through sped post.

Application Fee

  • Applicants can download the bank challan of PNB for paying the fees (Valid only for 48 hours).
  • Applicants can also pay the application fee using their Internet banking credentials or by using Debit/Credit cards.
  • Applicants can also pay the application fee through DD.

PU CET (PG) 2021 Eligibility Criteria

As the eligibility criteria are very important for any course the applicants have to check this information even before filling the Application Form. We have listed some of the information below for the applicants:

Eligibility criteria for the BSc (Bachelor of Science) – Hons course:

Botany & Zoology.

  • The applicant should have cleared the HSC from a known board.
  • The applicant who belongs to the General category should have achieved a minimum of 50% in total in their HSC examination.
  • The applicant who belongs to the reserved category should have achieved a minimum of 45% in total in their HSC examination.
  • Applicants should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English in HSC.

Anthropology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics & Physics (Specialization in Electronics)

  • The applicant should have cleared the HSC from a known board.
  • The applicant (General category) should have achieved a minimum of 50% in total in their HSC examination.
  • The applicant (reserved category) should have achieved a minimum of 45% in total in their HSC examination.
  • Applicants should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in HSC.

Biochemistry, Microbiology:

  • The applicant should have cleared the HSC from a known board.
  • The General category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 50% in total in their HSC examination.
  • The reserved category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 45% in total in their HSC examination.
  • Applicants should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology + Biotechnology in HSC.

Biotechnology, Biophysics:

  • The applicant should have cleared the HSC from a known board.
  • The General category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 50% in total in their HSC examination.
  • The reserved category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 45% in total in their HSC examination.
  • Applicants should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology + Biotechnology & Computer science in HSC.

Mathematics

  • The applicant should have cleared the HSC from a known board.
  • The General category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 50% in total in their HSC examination.
  • The reserved category applicants should have achieved a minimum of 45% in total in their HSC examination.
  • Applicants should have studied Mathematics as an important subject in HSC.

PU CET (PG) 2021 Exam Pattern

The important information in regards to the paper pattern for the PG courses is listed below:

  • The question paper will be available only in the English
  • The PG entrance exam will be an offline test where applicants will have to answer through the OMR answer sheet.
  • The exam will be divided into 4 parts as below.
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Each subject will have 60 questions in the paper.
  • Applicants will get 1 hour and 10 min to solve the paper for each subject.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks.
  • Each wrong answer will reduce 0.25 marks.

NOTE: Visually Handicapped or PWG applicants will get 20 min extra to write the paper.

PU CET (PG) 2021 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for the entrance exam for the PG courses will be similar to the HSC board’s syllabus. It is recommended that the applicants refer to the website for more details.

PU CET (PG) 2021 Exam Admit Card

PU CET PG 2021 Admit Card has been Released on 22nd July 2021. The approved applicants will be able to get their admit card at least 1 week in advance of the exam date. The admit card will be released by the university on the official website.

Applicants have to use their credentials to download the admit card. The applicants will receive an email from the university in regards to the admit card availability.

PU CET (PG) 2021 Exam Result

PU CET PG 2021 Result has been Declared now. The university has released the results on the Punjab University website only. The applicants have to download the results from the official website.

PU CET PG 2021 Merit List

The Merit List will be released on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination. The final merit list will be made available to the concerned Department/Institute/ Center on consideration of various admission criteria and weight.

PU CET PG 2021 Counselling

Candidates whose names will be mentioned in the merit list will be called for the counseling process. Eligible candidates will be informed about the counseling on the basis of their merit position. The details for the counseling round will be released on the University website and also it will put up on the notice board. It is compulsory for the candidates to be present on the allotted day of counseling.
