KCET 2023 Application Form

Application form holds prime importance when you try to indulge into any examination. Candidates need to fill out the application form within time and with the correct details if they want to take the exam. Some of the crucial aspects regarding the application form are given below.

  • Firstly, the candidates should access the official website and download the official notification to read it carefully and analyze the eligibility conditions. Make sure that you meet the criteria in all respects. 
  • It is expected that the application forms for KCET 2023 will be published in the mid of April 2023. 
  • The application forms are going to be released in online mode only. No other mode of application forms is going to be accepted by the conducting authorities. 
  • All the candidates must fill in the essential details in the application form, namely the candidate’s name, academic details, email ID, Phone number, etc. 
  • All the candidates should upload the scanned photograph and signature in the acceptable dimensions in the application form. 
  • The correction facility will also be available for a limited period and the candidates can make the changes in the application form using that. All the candidates must note that the facility will only be available for some fields. 
  • The last date for submitting the application form will be in the first week of May 2023. 
  • Candidates need to take a printout of the application form after the submission for any future reference. 
  • No need to send the hard copy of the application form to the respective authorities. 

How to fill out the Application Form?

These are specific steps that are required to fill the application form. Candidates should follow the same if they want to easily fill out the form.

  • Go to the official website of the KCET.
  • Click on the option that says “Apply Online”.
  • Click on the same and register yourself by providing the required details.  
  • Once the registration process is done, candidates can log in and provide the required details to complete the application form. 
  • All the candidates are requested to provide their personal, communication, educational qualification, and other related details in the application form. 
  • All the candidates are required to upload scanned images of the photograph, signature, thumb impressions, and other ID proof. 
  • Everyone must pay the application fee online and maintain a secure internet connection while doing that. 
  • Candidates are required to take the printout of the application fee receipt and keep it safe for future reference. 

KCET 2023 Application Form Correction

The correction facility will be available for the candidates for a limited period of time after the final date of the submission gets over. Candidates must take note that the correction can only be done on certain limited fields. So, you are requested to fill out the form carefully and try to avoid errors as far as possible. 

KCET 2023 Application Fee

The application Fee needs to be paid within the prescribed time limit and candidates must take note of the last date of the submission of the application fee. Some of the details related to the application fee are listed below. 

  • All the candidates who belong to the Unreserved or OBC category need to pay several Rs. 500/- candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories must pay Rs. 250/-. 
  • All the women candidates need to pay Rs. 250/- for the application form. 
  • All those candidates who are from outside of India need to pay Rs. 5000/- and for those belonging to the other states, Karnataka must pay Rs. 750. 
  • The payment can be done using a bank challan in a designated bank or e-post office. 
  • Candidates can download their bank challan once the documents are signed in the application form. 

KCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

One must consider all the eligibility conditions before applying for any exam. Candidates must go through the required age limit and educational qualifications mark required for different courses. If the exam conducting authority finds that the candidate is not eligible for the exam, then he or she will not be able to proceed in the examination process. 

Engineering Course

  • Qualification Required: All candidates must have completed their class 12th or its equivalent exam from a recognized board or university. 
  • Appearing Candidates: Those candidates who are appearing in class 12th are also eligible to apply for the exam. 
  • Qualifying subjects: The candidates must have completed their class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board or University. 
  • Minimum Marks Required: All the candidates need to have scored a minimum of 45% marks if general and 40% marks if reserved in the PCM and PCB subjects to be eligible to apply. 

Other Courses

  • For B. Pharma: All the Candidates must have completed their class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology from a recognized board. There is also a relaxation of 5% for the candidates of SC/ ST categories.
  • B.V. Sc and A. H: All candidates must complete their 12th class with 50% marks in PCB and English. There is also relaxation for the SC/ST category, which ranges up to 5%.
  • B.Arch: All the candidates must have completed their class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Everyone should have completed their 12th class with mathematics. Everyone must hold a valid JEE Main (Paper 2) or NATA scorecard. 
  • BDS/MBBS/AYUSH courses: All the candidates must complete their 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in PCB. Also, English needs to be a compulsory subject. Candidates should also possess a valid scorecard of NEET. 

KCET 2023 Exam Pattern

It is pretty essential to follow the exam pattern to crack the examination. One needs to have sufficient knowledge about the examination pattern and then proceed towards preparing for the examination. Exam pattern holds importance when beginning to acquire knowledge about the different topics of the syllabus. 

It differs from course to course. Here is the description of the examination pattern that is portrayed by the KCET. One should stick to the same. 

  • Exam Mode: According to the latest sources, the exam will be conducted offline, also known as Pen and Paper mode. 
  • Questions Type: All the questions are going to be objective. The candidate needs to select one option out of four. 
  • Duration of the Exam: The exam will be 320 minutes, and 80 minutes will be allotted for every subject. 
  • Marks of the Exam: The entire paper will be 180 marks. 
  • Marking Scheme: One mark needs to be provided for every correct answer. Also, there is no negative marking in the exam. So, there will not be a deduction for any incorrect answer.

KCET 2023 Admit Card

Admit cards refer to the hall tickets published on the official website for allowing the entry of candidates to the exam hall. They are likely to be released in the last week of May 2023 in an online manner. Everyone must carry their admit cards when going to their exam hall. 

The admit card contains important information such as the category, name of the candidate, photograph, signature, DOB, etc. According to the matriculation certificate, candidates can easily download admit cards using their application number and DOB. KCET 2023 Answer Key

KCET 2023 Result

Regarding the results, they are expected to be released around the first week of July 2023 in an online manner only. Candidates can use their registration number to check their results. KCET 2023 Counseling Procedure

As you must be aware that counselling is the final procedure of any examination process, and for that matter, the counselling of the KCET will be conducted in the second week of July 2023. All the candidates who will qualify for the exam and be shortlisted according to the merit list will be called to appear in the counselling process. Document verification will also occur at the time of the counselling.
