CTET 2018: Application, Dates, Admit Card, Syllabus, Pattern

CTET 2018 Application Form Dates has been Extended till 5th September 2018 (upto 2:00 PM) for Completed Application. The CBSE has published the CTET 2018 review schedule for the application form and the revision date in the journal.CTET 2018 Application Form Dates has been Revised.

This time, the CTET 2018 exam will take place on September 16, 2018, in online mode.

CTET is a national recruitment process aimed at appointing qualified teachers for primary and higher education. Previously, the CTET was done twice a year, but from now on the CTET test will be done once a year.

However, the CTET 2018 notification has not been published yet, but you can start preparing for the CTET online exam to appear on the exam.

The portal is opened as one-time measure from 30-08-2018 (Thursday) to 02-09-2018 (Sunday) for uploading the photographs and signatures for the candidates who have already registered themselves on or before the last date i.e. 27-08-2018 for CTET examination-2018 but could not upload their photographs and signatures. Now, they can also remit their fee accordingly through e-Challan,
Credit/Debit Card, Net-Banking from 30-08-2018 (Thursday) to 05-09-2018 (Wednesday) upto 02:00 p.m. All such candidates may complete their online application by uploading of photographs and signatures within the stipulated time. No further extension will be given under any circumstances.

9. Rough Work All rough work should be done in the Test Booklet only. The candidate should NOT do any rough work or put stray mark on the Answer Sheet.

CTET 2018 Application Form

CTET 2018 Application Form has been Released On 1st August 2018. There is a window of almost a month to apply on the official site ctet.nic.in. You can also check the status of the application after the application.

Points to keep in mind when completing the CTET 2018 online application form: Check if you qualify for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both. Ask only this paper.

Steps to apply

  • Log on to the official website of CTET.
  • Go to the “Apply Online” link and open it.
  • Complete the CTET online application form
  • Load scanned images of the last photo and signature.
  • Pay the exam fee by e-challan or debit/credit card
  • Print the confirmation page for registration and future reference.
  • Mention your own mobile number and e-mail address when submitting the application online, as CTET alerts will be sent to a registered mobile phone number and an e-mail ID.

CTET Exam Pattern 2018

All questions on the eligibility test for the central teacher will be multiple choice questions (MCQs), each with a grade, with four alternatives, one of which will be correct. There will be no negative mark.

  • CTET 2018 Document 1 is for those who plan to teach grades 1-5 (primary).
  • CTET 2018 Document 2 will be for those who plan to teach grades 6-8 (primary).
  • A person who claims to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both newspapers.
  • Duration: 2.5 hours.

CTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria


To appear on CTET 2018 Document 1, you must have one of these qualifications. You can approve or appear in the last year (special education D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / D.Ed).

  • 50% at least in class 12 and then 2 years D.El.Ed.
  • 45% at least in Class 12 and hen 2 years in D.El.Ed according to the NCTE 2002 Regulation.
  • 50% at least in class 12 then B.El.Ed. 4 years
  • 50% at least in class 12 and then 2 years D.Ed (special education).
  • Graduation then 2 years D.El.Ed.

For paper 2

To be included in CTET 2018 Document 2, you must have one of these qualifications. You can approve or appear in the last year (special education D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / D.Ed).
  • After graduation, D.El.Ed. 2 years
  • 50% at least upon graduation, then 1-year B.Ed.
  • 45% at least upon graduation, then 1 year B.Ed according to NCTE.
  • 50% at least in class 12 then B.El.Ed. 4 years
  • 50% at least in class 12 and then 4 years of BA / BSc Ed or BAEd / BScEd.
  • Graduation with at least 50% and then 1 year B.Ed (special education).
  • SC, ST, OBC, candidates with different abilities get a relaxation of 5% of qualifications qualified in the minimum diploma.

  • Candidates can download the CTET Admit Card from their official website and apply for the exam at the assigned center.

  • CBSE announces the result of the CTET after the completion of the eligibility test. Applicants can view their CTET 2018 result online.
  • The period of validity of the eligibility certificate for the teacher’s central eligibility test for the appointment will be seven years from the date of the declaration of the result for all categories.
  • Central government schools (such as KVS, NVS) and union-controlled schools believe that the CTET certificate is eligible for hiring teachers.
  • Other schools that can do the same include unassisted private schools, state government schools (public schools might consider the state TET if that state has a separate TFW).
