JEST 2023 is a Joint Entrance Screening Test conducted by SERB – Science, and Engineering Research Board. This exam is conducted at National Level every year. JEST 2023 Application Fees
After filling out the application form the candidates must pay the application fees. The application fee is set by the conducting body as per the different categories of candidates applying for the exam.

- Those who belong to the General category need to make a payment of Rs Rs.400/ –
- SC and ST category candidates need to make a payment of Rs 200/-.
Candidates will be able to make payment for the application fee by modes like a Credit card, net banking, and debit card.
JEST 2023 Application Form Correction
The JEST 2023 application form will be released online on the website from the 1st week of January. The application form correction facility is provided by the official authority and the official authority for the JEST 2023 exam will not be providing this facility.
The candidates are advised to fill the application form with care and concentration as they would not be able to make changes after submission.

Education Qualification
Eligibility Criteria for the Ph.D. program in Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc (JEST 2023)
- MSc/ME/MTech. in Computer Science or a similar field, with a strong interest in the mathematical parts of the field.
- Eligibility Criteria for a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at NBRC according to JEST 2023.
- BE/BTech/MCA in Computer Science, MSc (Physics/Maths)
Eligibility Criteria for a Ph.D. in Physics in JEST 2023
- The requirements for taking the JEST exam for a Ph.D. in Physics vary from institution to college.
- Physics Master’s Degree (in all participating Institutes).
- MSc in Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Optics & Photonics, Instrumentation, and Electronics will be considered at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics in Bangalore.
- At IISc, IMSc, ICTS-TIFR, IUCAA, JNCASR, NCRA-TIFR, TIFR-TCIS, RRI, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, and IISER Thiruvananthapuram, BE or BTech will be considered.
- IUCAA will consider applicants with a master’s degree in physics, electronics, astronomy, or applied mathematics.
- A master’s degree in physics, engineering physics, or applied physics is also acceptable at IPR.
- SNBNCBS will consider candidates with a master’s degree in physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, biophysics, or biochemistry.
- At TIFR, BTech Eng Phys will be evaluated.
- Applied Physics ME/MTech will be considered at NISER

JEST 2023 Admit card
Admit cards will be accessible to only those candidates who would have filled out the application form correctly and also paid the application fees. The JEST 2023 admit card would be made available in the 3rd week of March 2023.
