NTA UGC NET Application Form 2020

The UGC NET Application Form has been available from 16th March to 16th May 2020 and those applicants want to get the post of Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges, they can apply in UGC NET examination by filling the Application Form.

  • Candidates must have to go on the official web page of the National Testing Agency (NTA) first of all.
  • They should have to register themselves by filling all the required details in the required field.
  • The application number and password will be provided to the candidates after completing the registration process.
  • In the Application Form, candidates should have to fill all the correct and complete details such as 4 preferences of exam center, NET subject, the course at PG level, reservation category and other details.
  • After that, they have to fill all the required details in the Application Form and submit it.
  • In the Application Form, candidates have to upload scanned photograph and signature as per specified format and dimensions
  • After uploading, applicants have to make the payment of application fee through using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking of SBI/ Syndicate/ HDFC and ICICI bank or through Paytm or UPI.
  • They have to final submit the Application Form and save the confirmation page. The Application number will be generated after the submission of the form. Candidates must save the number as it is used to log in and other uses.

NTA UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Those candidates are going to fill the Application Form of UGC NET examination; they should have to check their Eligibility Criteria before applying.

  • Applicants must have to score at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in their Post-Graduation or equivalent from any recognized university.
  • Final year candidates can also apply in this examination if they have passed in the qualifying exam with minimum marks.
  • The Ph.D. holders can also apply in this examination as per additional relaxation of 5% in minimum marks requirement.
  • There is no age limit for UGC NET Assistant Professorship.
  • The upper age limit is 30 years.
  • The age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as per the government of India norms.

NTA UGC NET Exam Pattern 2020

The exam pattern is very helpful for the applicants to understand the structure of question paper and exam pattern details mentioned below.

  • NTA UGC NET Exam is a computer-based test, which has multiple-choice questions
  • They have two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 is the same and compulsory for all candidates. It tests teaching and reasoning ability, research aptitude, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
  • Paper 2 is based on the subject chosen by the candidate. It tests candidates’ in-depth knowledge and expertise in the respective subject.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 is 180 minutes.
  • Each question carries 2 marks and there is no negative marking in any of the papers.
