newicon New Changes Introduced this Year:

There are some major changes has been done for the GATE 2019 examination, which is mentioned below:

  • The GATE 2019 examination will be conducted for a total of 24 papers. A new paper Statistics(Code – ST) has been added.
  • Students will also get an opportunity to submit the application form after the due date.
  • IIT, Madras is the conducting authority of GATE 2019 examination.

GATE Result 2019

  • GATE 2019 Response Sheet has been Available on 9th February 2019 for S1, S2, S3 & S4 Examination.
  • GATE 2019 Answer Key has been Released with Question Papers on 20th February 2019. 
  • The answer keys for various papers will be published after a few days of the examination. Candidates will check it through online mode on the website.
  • Gate 2019 answer key will be announced after a few days of the examinations candidates will check their answer on their official website.

GATE 2019 Admit Card 

In this section, we are providing details about GATE admit card 2019 releasing date, mode & other information:

  • Gate 2019 candidates will be given their admission card by online mode when entering their enrolment ID/ Email address and password.
  • Gate 2019 is not allowed to send their Admit card by post or email to the candidates.
  • Downloading of GATE Hall Ticket 2019 has been Released from 4th January 2019.
  • Gate 2019 candidates should know before starting the examination, their photograph and fingerprints will be taken for the selected candidates.
  • Candidates of GATE 2019 should bring their Original proof along with their admission cared during the day of the examination
  • Gate 2019 Candidates should download their Admit  card and take a colored print out

GATE 2019 Application Form

  • Candidates will register & fill application only through online mode on the official website.
  • GATE 2019 Application form has been released on 1st September 2018 to 1st October 2018 (Extended) with late fees.
  • Candidates of Gate 2019 should send their scanned photographs of maximum size (480*640 pixels)
  • Candidates of Gate 2019 should scan their existing degree documents, category certificates and dyslexia certificate (if needed)
  • Candidates of Gate 2019 should be allowed to choose three examination cities at that time itself.
  • Candidates of 2019 will have to fill in their specific ID Number as the following i.e.: Adhere ID, College ID, driving License, Employee ID, Passport, Pan card, and Votes ID.
  • Candidates will not need to send their hard copy of application/ documents to their email IDs.
  • Candidates of Gate 2019 will have to take out a print out of the Gate Application for further references.

GATE 2019 Application Fees:

  • Gate 2019 candidates should deposit the application fee by using net banking or by debit care or Credit card.
  • Gate 2019 application fee will not get refunded and returned back

Important Note – The receipt of SMS and Email OTPs by the candidates is taking a little longer time, as the number of applicants using the GOAPS site is drastically increased for the past two days. Therefore, requests the candidates to go ahead with filling the application and payment without waiting for the OTP verification. The OTP verifications can be done even after the payment.

For the candidates with Foreign nationality, who wish to appear for GATE 2019 examination, the application fee is as follows:

Application Correction Form:

Candidates must fill application carefully; the GATE 2019 Application form correction will not be allowed in any fields except exam city center. Other details about correction are given below:

  • GATE 2019 Application Form Correction Exam City Change Request has been Started from 13th to 16th November 2018.
  • Candidates can make the correction in the exam city from 16th November 2018 with required correction fee.
  • GATE 2019 Application Correction Form will be Starting From 24th September to 28th October 2018.
  • Last year, the correction was done in Gender, Category and PwD status with Rs. 750 as a correction fee.
  • Apart from this, the institution has also provided correction facility in the name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Name of Parent/Guardian, Qualifying Degree, Year of Qualifying Degree & Have you graduated in the above degree? by sending a request to officials along with a document proof.

GATE Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture (Five years course) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders of the Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Holders of Four-year Integrated Master’s degree (Post B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and those who are in these condor higher year of such programs.
  • Holders of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology and those who are in the fourth or higher year of such programs.
  • Holders of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five-year integrated B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC / AICTE as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Those who have completed section A of AM IE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Documents Required in Support of Eligibility (Eligibility Documents)

  • In case, the candidate has already passed (in 2018 or earlier) one of the qualifying examinations listed in Table 4.1, he/she has to submit (i.e. upload) the degree certificate/provisional certificate/course completion certificate/professional certificate/membership certificate issued by the institute or society.
  • In case, the candidate is expected to complete one of the qualifying criteria specified in Table 4.1, he/she has to upload a Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute (in the format given in Appendix A) or a copy of marksheet for Section A of AMIE. This certificate must mandatorily have the signature and seal of the Head of Institute/Department with the current date.

GATE Exam Pattern 2019

GATE 2019 exam pattern complete information is mentioned here:

  • Papers: GATE examination will be conducted for 23 subjects/papers on 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th February 2019.
  • Exam Date: It is conducting on 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th February 2019.
  • Exam Mode: Gate 2019 is a computer-based exam which will be done online.
  • Type of Questions: Gate 2019 paper will be of multiple choice questions and Numerical type questions in which will be given for the examination.
  • Attempt: Gate 2019 candidates can sit only for one examination.
  • Session: Gate 2019 will be held in two sittings, i.e. (9.00 to 12:00) and (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm) in the evening.
  • Duration: Gate 2019 examination will be a three-hour paper.
  • Number of Questions: Gate 2019 will have 65 questions in the exam paper.
  • Marks: Gate 2019 will be out of 100 marks.
  • Section Common in All GATE Papers: It is necessary to do a General Aptitiude (GA) portion.

GATE 2019 at International Centres

GATE 2019 examinations will be conducted in the following cities outside India: Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Singapore. The application fee for Dubai (UAE) and Singapore centers is US$ 100; and for the remaining, it is US$ 50. Candidates of any nationality can opt for international centers.

Post-Examination Related Information

Post examination events are as follows:

  1. After the GATE 2019 examinations, candidates’ responses will be available at GOAPS, which can be downloaded.
  2. Answer keys for various GATE 2019 papers will be displayed in GATE 2019 website.
  3. Candidates may submit their contests on the answer keys provided for a very limited time period against a payment.
  4. Evaluation of examination papers will be finalized and GATE results (Score) will be announced.
  5. GATE 2019 scorecard will be made available for the qualified candidates from GOAPS.

GATE 2019 Rank Card

Gate 2019 Rank card will be available only to qualified students. Which it will be released after the result is announced.

  • Gate 2019 Rank card will be valid for three years during the announcement of the results.
  • Candidates should download their scorecard from 20th March to 31st March 2019.
  • Gate 2019 if candidates should take their soft copy after the previous date, they will need to pay Rs. 500 for getting the same in December 2019.

GATE Counselling 2019

No centralized counseling will be organized by the authority for admission to PG courses.

  • Gate 2019 Candidates will have to apply individually for each IIT.
  • Centralized Counseling for M. Tech/ M. Arch and M. Plan admission will be taken to several other funded colleges.
  • Gate 2019 Counseling will start in April 2019 through an online mode, i.e., Skype and Google chat.
  • Gate 2019 candidates who have a valid Rank card of 2017, 2018 and 2019 can apply for counseling.
  • Gate 2019 candidates will have to fill in their own choices of colleges and courses as per their likings during the time of registration of counseling.
  • Candidates of gate 2019 have to sit on the bases of rank, filter led choices, category, availability of seats, etc.
