The University of Kerala was founded as the University of Travancore in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore (now southern part of Kerala and some neighboring parts of the state of Tamilnadu) in 1937. Academic Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree in relevant stream from any recognized University.
• Candidates having Master’s Degree in Science, Humanities, Social Science, Commerce & another relevant appearing can also eligible to apply.
• Candidates passed in Bachelor’s Degree should have 50% marks.
• Candidates with reserved category will get relaxation of 5%.

Marks Weightage Criteria

Candidates who have obtained First class in PG degree – 15 marks. Candidates who have 2^nd class in PG Degree – 10mark. Candidates who have 3^rd class in PG degree – 05 marks. Candidates having a certificate in NSS/NCC – 10 marks.

Marks Deduction

Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam in the second attempt – 3 marks Candidates clearing in the 3^rd attempt – 05 marks Candidates who clear in 4^th or more than attempt – 10 marks

Tie-Breaker in Merit List

Candidates scoring more marks in academics in English will be given 1^st priority. Candidates having % of total marks for then qualifying the exam. Age of Candidates. 9 alphabetical order of the name.

Merit List

Merit list will be declared after the entrance exam. Candidates can check their merit list on the official website. Kerala University will declare cut off for the candidates. It will be based on marks of graduation & entrance exam.

Kerala B.Ed 2019 Counselling

Candidates successfully clear Entrance exam will be eligible for counseling. Counseling will be done in the month of July 2019. Counseling will be based on marks scored in Kerala B.Ed Entrance Exam. Candidates have to report as soon as possible to take into B.Ed course after the allotment of Seats. Candidates seat may get canceled if they do not report on the given date & time.
