NSD 2018 Final Workshop has been started from 26th June 2018.  The National Theater School of Delhi will organize all activities related to the NSD 2018 admission.

NSD is an independent organization that is under the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India. offers an education in the field of the performing arts. NSD prepares and trains students to become professionals in the field of temporary work, design, management and other relevant fields. Students must pass several rounds of admission to obtain admission to a three-year drama degree offered by the NSD.

NSD Results 2018


Students can check the NSD Result 2018 within one month after the examination.The result can be announced via offline or online mode. Candidates are encouraged to keep the result until the end of the admission process

NSD Admit Card 2018

Candidates who have submitted the application form successfully can obtain the Admit Card. The Admit Card will be released within one to two weeks from the date of the exam. The room ticket will include details such as student names, registration number, examination centre, examination date and other examination instructions.

Eligibility Criteria

Students seeking for admission in NSD are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria to get admission in NSD is given below:

  • Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from any recognized university or college.
  • Theater Work: Candidates must have participated in a minimum six theatre productions.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 20 years, and the maximum is 30 years as or on 1st July 2018. Five year age relaxation will be prescribed for the SC/ST candidates.
  • Language: Candidates must have a working knowledge of English and Hindi.

NSD Exam Pattern

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • Language: The exam medium will be in Hindi or English language. Candidates have to choose any one communication among them.
  • NSD Syllabus: The questions will be asked from topics like Aptitude and Acting Skills.

Preparation Tips

  1. To enter NSD, you have to work on various skills, such as singing, dancing, theater, and so on.
  2. First, gather all the details about the curriculum for the aptitude test.
  3. Make an adequate schedule based on your daily routine and divide your time equally for all activities.
  4. Work mostly in your fitness, exercise, yoga, meditation, etc.
  5. Collect good knowledge and experience in theater and theater.
  6. Also work on your other talents, such as playing a musical instrument, knowing your type, etc.
  7. Do not stress and trust your preparations..

NSD Admission 2018 Process

To obtain admission to NSD, candidates must go through the various admission rounds. First, students must pass the preliminary test or aptitude test. This test will assess your skills and your acting skills. After passing the test, candidates must attend a workshop of about five days under the premises of the school.

Students must also take the physical fitness exam organized at NSD. The final selection will be based on the performance of the aptitude test candidate and the workshop. All applicants selected for admission may also obtain an Rs. 6000 / – monthly scholarship.

NSD Admission 2019

The NSD 219 admission procedure will be regulated by the National Theater School, New Delhi. It is aimed at providing education and training in the field of action, design, leadership and other related fields. Applicants must qualify the preliminary test and the final workshop. It’s a college-level test.

  • Candidates can avail the NSD Application Form 2018 via online and offline mode.
  • The application form can be obtained by post or bookshops of National School of Drama.
  • Fill all the necessary details such as personal, academic, address and other details in the application.
  • Make the application fee payment in offline mode.
  • Attach all the required documents in the application form and send it to the address mentioned below:

Application Fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 150/- for all the candidates.
  • Candidates obtaining an application by post are required to pay Rs. 225/-.
