The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility/merit, for admission of Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates to 1st year / 1st-semester full time/part-time MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech./M. Arch Courses and for admission to 2nd-year Lateral Entry to MCA Course in Government/University/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka which will be notified by the Government of Karnataka for the year 2020.
Karnataka PGCET is standing for (Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) are a state level entrance examination. Admissions to the Government seats shall be made in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of applicants for Admission to Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Application Courses Rules, 2005 and the Karnataka Selection of applicants for Admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) Courses Rules, 2005.

Helpline Centers Details
Every applicant who is assigned rank in PGCET will have to report to the nearest Helpline Centers / or the most convenient Helpline Centers as per the schedule posted on the KEA Website for Registration of Candidate and Verification of Documents. There are 16 notified Helpline Centers, details will be given below. The applicants are required to register their CET number in the computer system.

Verification Schedule
Verification of documents will be done for all the disciplines once only to which the applicant is eligible.
An applicant who seeks admission to Government seats should compulsorily produce all the required documents in original with one set of Gazetted Officer attested photocopies of all the original documents and two passport size photographs when they come for document verification at the Helpline Centre.
The applicants who become eligible after verification only be considered for entry of options.
An applicant has to be personally present in the Helpline Centre as per the upper schedule for document verification and no one can represent them.
KEA will publish the details of the eligible applicant on the website http://kea.kar.nic.in at the end of every day after verification.

There are 15 notified Helpline Centres, The applicant is required to register their CET number in the computer system.
Secret Key
The applicant who becomes eligible after verification of documents will be given a high-security secret key, the applicant has to use this secret key to register and create a password as per his/her choice for login at the online option entry portal. For any reason, the secret key and Password should not be made known or revealed to others as it might enable modification/tampering options.
The applicant will solely be responsible for maintaining the secrecy of the password and secret key. KEA will not take any responsibility in this regard. The password is important and shall be held confidentially. It is as important as the PIN of the ATM card. The password is essential for applicant login, entry of options, change of options, saving and deletion of options and for the printing of allotment details.
Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years.
- Applicants shall have passed Bachelors Degree with not less than 50% with Mathematics OR Statistics OR Computer Science
OR
- Computer Programming OR Computer Applications OR Business mathematics OR Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives.
- An applicant who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years/semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.E/M. Tech/M. Arch Courses (45% of marks in Q.E. in case of SC/ST and Category-I candidates
