RMCAAT stands for Rajasthan Master of Computer Application Admission Test which is conducted by the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota. It is a state level entrance exam. Through this candidates can get admission into the postgraduate course of Computer Applications.

RMCAAT Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG) is conducted for the graduate Candidates who want to pursue their careers in computer applications. Institutions and colleges in Rajasthan can also give graduate Candidates direct admission in MCA courses against vacant seats on the basis of criteria set by RTU.

This exam is held in the month of May 2019. To be eligible to apply candidate must have completed his or her graduation with mathematics as the main subject. Candidate’s admission is depended on their marks/percentages. Deserving candidates who secure good marks in entrance exams will be granted admission. The application process for RMCAAT will be conducted online in the month of April and the Last date for filling online application is 2nd or 3rd week of June 2019. Candidates will be required to register online and pay the registration fee. Candidate can RMCAAT fill application form by online mode in the official portal.

Candidates must fill the application form before the due date if didn’t candidates application will be cancelled. Before filling, application form read all detail carefully and upload your scanned image of the recent photograph.

  • Visit the official link.
  • Click on “RMCAAT 2017 Registration”. Please note that this may be worded differently.
  • Provide candidate’s name, date of birth and name of candidate’s father.
  • Using the challan generated, make the fee payment.
  • Enter the 16-digit Token Number given on the receipt of payment to activate the application form.
  • Provide requisite details such as academic qualification, category, domicile etc.
  • Upload necessary documents and verify the information filled.
  • Submit the form after ensuring that no further changes have to be made.
  • Take a print out of the completed form.

RMCAAT Application Fee

Candidates can pay application fees through e-challan. The candidate has to make payments of Rs.2000 as registration fee for RMCAAT. This includes the registration amount of Rs.1000. Once it is paid by candidate it will not refund back. Read before filling a form and check whether you are eligible to apply or not.

The candidate will have to pay the requisite sum via an e-challan that will be generated upon successful registration. The applying candidates will have to contact any authorized e-Mitracentre for fee payment. A receipt will be given to the candidate after the fee has been paid, with a 16-digit Token number. The candidate must keep it safe as it will be needed at later stages of admission.

RMCAAT Eligibility criteria

Before applying for RMCAAT candidates must check eligibility criteria whether you are eligible to apply or not. A candidate fails to know that affect them at time of taking admission. Candidates should know nationality, qualification criteria, age criteria, and minimum marks etc.

Applying candidate must have bona fide and domicile documents. Candidates must have hold graduation degree of minimum three years duration in any subject from a recognized University or final graduation year with a valid NIMCET can also apply. Candidates should have taken up Mathematics as a subject in Class XII or graduation.

On the basis of their graduation marks who have a Rajasthan, domicile will be preferred over those from other states.Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category) to qualify to apply. Before filling read all detail carefully.

The detailed RMCAAT eligibility criteria are explained below:

First year MCA

  • Candidates must have taken up Mathematics as a subject in Class XII or graduation.
  • Candidates must have pursued a graduate degree of minimum three years duration in any subject from a recognised university.
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Candidates in their final graduation year with a valid NIMCET 2017 score can also apply.
  • Candidates applying on the basis of NIMCET 2017 score who have a Rajasthan domicile will be preferred over the ones who are from outside states.
  • Candidates applying on the basis of their graduation marks who have a Rajasthan domicile will be preferred over those from other states.

Lateral Entry in Second year MCA

  • Candidates must have taken up Mathematics as a subject in Class XII or graduation.
  • Candidates must have a UG degree in any one of BCA, B.Sc. (I.T.), and B.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognised university.
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Those with a Rajasthan domicile will be given preference over the ones belonging to a different state.

Domicile Criteria for candidates appearing for RMCAAT  is given below:

Category A The candidate or his/her parents is a bona fide resident of Rajasthan.
Category B The candidate has studied continuously as a regular student in a recognized educational institute in Rajasthan for the preceding five years up to and including the year in which he or she has passed the qualifying examination.
Category C The Candidate is a son/daughter of either a serving employee or a retired employee of any of the following:

Government of Rajasthan

Undertakings/ Corporations/ Improvement Trusts/ Municipal Boards/ Panchayat Samities /Cooperative Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan

Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under Indian Companies Act incorporated in Rajasthan

Category C The candidate is a child of an employee of the Central/State Universities in Rajasthan who has put in at least 3 years service on the date of submission of application.
Category C The candidate is a child of an employee of Central Government or Institutions and who is serving in the State of Rajasthan on the date of application.
Category C The candidate is a child of an employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence/Central Government services/Public Sector undertakings/National Institutes of Government of India, who has put in at least 3 years service on the last date for submission of application.

RMCAAT  Exams Pattern

RTU, Kota has notified the RMCAAT 2017 Exam Pattern. In exams, 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked. The candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the exam. No extra time will be given to any candidates as per board’s rules and regulation. Candidates are provided with all detail so they can prepare well for examination and can secure qualifying marks.

Question paper language will be English. The question will be asked to the candidate from the topics of syllabus such as Elementary Computer Knowledge, Mathematical Ability, and Reasoning and Aptitude. Prepare well for an exam from the textbook. For the correct answer, the candidate will be given 41 marks. no negative marking is mentioned for the wrong answer.

RMCAAT Reservation

There are some seats under RMCAAT that are reserved for candidates who belong to minority groups or special categories. The seat is reserved for candidates according to category wise.

Such students can claim this facility if they so desire. Thus, it is imperative for them to know the details of reservation criteria, as tabulated below.

RMCAAT admit cards

Candidates can download their hall ticket from the official portal. In the month of March or April, candidates can download their hall ticket. Candidates who successfully submitted their application can only download their hall ticket by online mode.

Admit cards/ hall ticket is a mandatory document which contains details about candidates such as name, seat number, the birth of date, and centre etc. Keep it safe until the end of the examination. Candidates have o carry their admit cards at the exams hall if fails candidates will be not allowed to write the paper. Candidates are advised to keep print copies of RMCAAT admit cards for further use.

Candidates, who are going to appear for the Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMCAAT), can download the admit cards from the official site of RMCAAT by following the steps given below:

  • Here the link will be provided for the “RMCAAT admit card 2014”
  • Visit this link and admit card section will appear
  • You will have to enter the details such as your name, date of birth and other such details if asked
  • Submit the details entered above
  • Your admit card will be displayed
  • You can download, save and get it printed.

RMCAAT Result

RMCAAT Result will be announced by the authority in the official portal. Through online candidates can check their RMCAAT Result. The candidate has to visit the official portal and have to enter their roll no and the birth of dates etc, if you type wrong detail in portal it will show error. To access correct page of result candidate must type correct details of appearing candidates of RMCAAT.

Candidate can take a printout, screenshot or can save in phone/laptop of their RMCAAT result. Keep copies of result for further use in admission process etc. Candidates can follow the given below to download their result.

How to Download RMCAAT

  • Interested candidates are required to visit at www.rmcaat.com.
  • Now navigate to result in section and open the link for result.
  • Enter the required information and then submit it.
  • Your RMCAAT Result will be on your computer screen.
  • Download it and take a printout of it for further process.

RMCAAT Counseling

Candidates will be selected who have obtained the minimum cut-off marks and qualified the entrance exam will be called for RMCAAT counselling process. Candidates who passed the counselling round their name will appear in the merit list. Merit list will be prepared by authority according to candidates score marks in entrance exams.

Candidates who are appearing for counselling have to bring all correct document which is mentioned below for use of registration and verification. The candidate is requested to submit correct documents didn’t candidates application will be cancelled if found in scrutiny.

The various steps involved are explained below:

Choice Filling and Locking

The candidate will be required to fill the online option form mentioning his or her choice of an institute in order of preference. This can be edited or modified any number of times in the specified period. However, once satisfied with the completed option form, the choices must be locked through the “Final Lock” option.

Seat Matrix

The most recent seat matrix will be uploaded on the official website during the period of choice filling. Candidates should refer to the website in case of any doubt in this regard.

Seat Allocation

The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of score obtained in NIMCET 2017 or on the percentage marks achieved in graduation by the candidates.

Allotment Letter

After the result of seat allotment process has been announced, the selected candidates will be able to download their allotment letters from the website. It will not be sent via post.

Reporting

The candidate will have to report to the allotted institute along with the requisite documents within the specified time frame. A provisional admission letter will be granted to those who have reported. In case the candidate fails to report on time, his seat will be cancelled.

Upward Movement of Seats

Vacant seats will be available for upward movement after the first round of counselling is over. Those candidates who registered for the first round and were not allotted a seat, as well as those who were allotted a seat and reported to the specific institute, will be eligible for upward movement round.

Allotment of new seat

If a candidate is allotted a new college through an upgrade, the previously allotted seat will stand cancelled. The vacated seat would be allotted to another worthy candidate.

Reporting

The candidate will have to report to the newly allotted institute after upward movement within the given time period. If he fails to do so, his seat will be cancelled.

Important documents

There are some important documents that the candidate will have to carry at the time of reporting for the counselling process. Candidates must carry these in original along with two sets of attested photocopies.

The list of such documents required for RMCAAT counselling is given below:

  • Scanned copy of candidate’s photograph (acceptable formats are JPG/GIF/BMP and maximum size allowed is 100 KB)
  • Scanned copy of the candidate’s signature (acceptable formats are JPG/GIF/BMP and maximum size allowed is 50 KB)
  • Copy of Class X, XII and graduation mark sheet
  • NIMCET-2017 Scorecard (if applicable)
  • Mobile number of the candidate or a close relative
  • Proof of payment of counselling fee
  • Fees receipt generated by e-Mitra
