IPS Sarah Rizvi – Inspiration for all Muslim Girls
Sarah Rizvi IPS Officer, the young lady who is truly an inspiration for all the girl children, is 29-year-old. She is the only Muslim woman IPS Officer in Gujarat State Police. She is the role model for all women aspirants of Civil Service Exams. She joined civil services in 2008 at Gujarat cadre.

Sarah is gifted to an educated family of Mumbai. Afzal Khan and Nigar Rizvi are her parents, and both are well educated as her father is having a bachelor degree in science and her mother is an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University. She has one brother and one sister named Wasif Khan and Sameera. Wasif Rizvi is a Civil Engineer employed by Saudi Arabia, and Sameera is a computer science graduate settled in Dubai. Sarah married to Munawar Khan, a Trainee Asst. Security Commissioner in RPF, in 2008.
When Sarah interviewed, she told that she belongs to educated but apprehensive background. Her father was a small businessman of readymade garments. She lost her grandfather at the very early age of her life, but she gets old aged love from her maternal grandfather who also loves her from deep of his heart. Her nourishment, development, and education are all from her birth place Mumbai.
She owned her bachelor degree in commerce from MMK College, Mumbai. She then started having competitive coaching from her hometown after graduation. A professor named Dr. K.M.Arif become her idol as his lectures encourage her to do something. Dr Arif is educationist and chairman of Dream Foundation.

Then she told about her journey to success.She told that she was faced failure, but in third attempt, she broke all the hard stones and finally get selected.

She told her journey to civil services is not simple. She wanted to become Chartered Accountant and also completed the related foundation course while graduation but Dr Arif wanted me to go for Civil Services after observing me. She feels grateful as her family is with her and she faced not any problem from her family side. MESCO, Modern Educational Social & Cultural Organisation, a trust in Mumbai helped her financially. Finally, She went to Mussoorie, Uttarakhand for the training purpose for IPS.
She feels out of the world like before when she got success in UPSC exam in 2008 and AMU also awarded her for this. Once she also feels like this, When she topped in XII exam and appreciated and complimented by her neighbourhood in Andheri (W), Mumbai.
When she was asked about her experience of her as being and IPS, then she smiled drastically and answered that it was awesome. She was posted as a probationer IPS for the starting six months of her journey in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. After that, she was transferred as Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP in Gondal, Rajkot. On her first day, she detected a case where four bikers looted a man within 24 hours. That’s the most memorable day of her life.

As her training for the IPS, She got impressed and got to know much from their Director Mr K. Vijay Kumar.He was the director of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy in 2009-10, an IPS from Tamilnadu cadre.

At last, She all want to say to all women that life is a precious gift from Allah and we all get it once, and that is now in our hand to make it like heaven or spoil it like hell. She requested to all Muslim parents to please educate their girl child and make them self-dependent so that they can do everything like other. She saluted and appreciated all the Muslim girls who step ahead and getting an education.
