TANCET 2018: Counselling, Schedule, Cut Off & Admission Procedure

TANCET 2018 Counselling for ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/ M.Plan courses has been started from 28th August 2018.  Registration for counseling will be started for MBA and MCA. (TANCET) the examination is organized by Anna University, Chennai. TANCET full form is Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test and it is a state level entrance exam. Through this entrance, exam candidate can get admission into MBA,MCA, and ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan Degree Programmes.

By giving this exams candidate can get admission into various college and institution of government & non-government colleges of Tamil Nadu state. All courses are provided in Tamil Nadu college but in the limit. But as all know competition among candidate is high and the seat is limited.

TANCET Result 2018


It has been declared on 8th June 2018. Candidate can check their result on last week of June. Through online, official portal candidate can see their result. Candidate have to go portal page and write their Roll number if the number was written is correct will show candidate result you can save the page in laptop/phone or can take the screenshot of result page for further use.

Keep printed copies of result for further admission process. According to rank list candidate will be called for counseling. At the time of attaining counseling, the candidate has to fill counseling form and submitted an original document for the registration process.

TANCET 2019


The TANCET 2019 exam will be held for admission to the courses ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M. Plan, MBA and MCA. It is a statewide examination of Tamil Nadu. This test is carried out by Anna University. Applicants can obtain admission to various institutions assisted by the government and the government through the TANCET exam.

TANCET Counselling 2018


Candidate who successfully passed in TANCET entrance test will have to appear in counseling process to get admission into Anna, University, Government, private and Self-financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu.It has been started from 13th June 2018 (MBA/MCA) & 28th August July 2018 (ME/M.Tech/ M.Arch/M.Plan).

Counseling will start after the entrance examination result declared. From July, onward counseling process will be started. Candidate will get admission on the basis of the rank score in the entrance test, the deserving candidate will get the seat of admission.

The admission procedure for the academic year 2018-19 consists of the following two steps:

  • Appearing for the TANCET 2018.
  • Applying for admission to the admitting authorities concerned.

  • Passing Certificate of 12th/Graduation

TANCET Application Form 2018


Candidate can fill application form from 1st week of May. Through online mode, the only application form can be filled. Candidate can fill application from official website published by authority.3rd week of May will be the last date of submission so filled and submit before the due date.

The application is not available in offline mode. The candidate is advised to keep the print out copies of filled application form.

  • Candidates will get the application form through online mode from our website..
  • TANCET Online application form is available from 2nd April 2018.
  • No application will be provided in offline mode.
  • Candidates have to fill only one TANCET 2018 application form for all the three entrance exams.
  • There is no need to send the filled application form through offline mode or by post.
  • Keep the printout of the filled application form for future use.

Application Fee

Candidate can pay through online as well and offline. Candidate have to pay 500 Rs/- for application who belong to GEN/OBC category and SC/SCA/ST category have to pay 250Rs/- for an application.

Through the online medium, Debit card/credit card/net-Banking Candidate can pay application fees. E-challan from any branch of the bank in India it is possible to pay. Candidate should know properly about Application form and fees below is given chat of category with application fees amount and detail which is important.

  • Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode only.
  • Candidates have to pay Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SCA/ST/SC category) for any one of the programme.
  • If a candidate wants to appear for more than one programme, then they have to deposit Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to (Tamil Nadu) for every additional programme.

Eligibility Criteria


Candidate should know full eligibility criteria for TANCET. Sometimes candidate fails to know eligibility criteria that harm them in further in taking admission. Eligibility criteria such as Candidate should be the Indian citizen or he/she can be from the state are also eligible for admission.

A candidate who appears in the Qualifying examination can also apply but candidate must clear exams before the counseling. Aadhar card document is compulsory for registration and verification. The candidate is informed that give original document for registration if any of candidate give incorrect document for registration and in scrutiny, it found incorrect candidate admission will be canceled.

The eligibility criteria are different for every course. Check the complete eligibility below:

  • Candidates, those appearing in the final year of the exam are also eligible.
  • Students belong to another state can also apply but the eligibility will be determined by the respective authorities.

SC/ST candidates must have obtained at least 45 % in the qualifying exam.

3 Domicile There are no given specification for the domicile criterion but outside Tamil Nadu candidates can also apply for TANCET subject to admission criteria of the universities or institutes participating in TANCET
4 Other Entrance Exam GATE 2015/ 2016/ 2017 candidates are eligible for exemption from TANCET 2017 if they have valid GATE scores.

However, GATE candidates of XE or XL papers will have to appear for the TANCET 2017 exam.

 

TANCET Exam Pattern


Candidate can check Exam pattern of TANCET. candidate will be given 2 hours to complete their exam paper No extra time will be given to any candidate. Before preparation for exam go through the Paper pattern and syllabus this will help you to score marks in entrance examination test.

Candidate will be given for each correct answer; 1/3 marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. MBA and MCA entrance examination test will be conducted on same dates but timing will be different. But ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan entrance test will be conducted on the separate date

  • Exam Duration: The duration of the exam will be about two hours.
  • of Questions: Total 100 questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Type of Questions: The question will be of multiple type questions.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be allotted to the candidates for a correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
  • Attempts: In ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan section, PART I & II is compulsory. PART III according to the discipline selected during registration.

Candidate can download their admit card/ Hall ticket from official portal or Anna University Website or any via. The TANCET admit card is available on 4th May 2018. Hall ticket is a mandatory document needed for completion of exams.

Keep your Hall ticket/admit card safely if it is lost/miss placed it’s a candidate responsibility. In case, the candidate didn’t bring Hall ticket in the examination time candidate will not be permitted to enter in the examination center. So, keep it safe until the end.

Hall ticket/admits card contain candidate-related information like Roll number name address, center number Birth of date and ID etc which is needed for verification at the time of examination in the board.

If candidate lost the hall ticket after the entrance test, the duplicate hall ticket could be obtained after making a payment of Rs. 100 in the form of DD with the written request to:
